Prelude to SHOOT "50th Anniversary", Feature #2:
SHOOT first appeared in December 1960 as part of Back Stage, a weekly newspaper covering a combination of performing arts and commercial production-related news and features.  The two distinct sections continued to be published as one publication until mid-1990 when the section covering agencies/production/post was spun off as its own publication. For its 50th Anniversary, from Dec. '09-Nov. '10, SHOOT will present a year-long celebration featuring special features and events, culminating in November 2010 with a very special SHOOT 50th Anniversary Issue, event and Anniversary bash. The feature series launched in SHOOT's December 11, 2009 issue to explore the
past, present & future of various industry segments. Sharing perspectives and insights in the inaugural feature were Larry Bridges, founder of Red Car; Lee Clow, chief creative officer/global director of Media Arts, TBWA Worldwide, and chairman of TBWA\Media Arts Lab; Bob Giraldi, director, Giraldi Media and Robert Greenberg, Chairman /  CEO /global chief creative officer R/GA.
We continue the series in the February 12th issue with observations from:

, co-chairman/creative director of
Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco
