Veteran Cable Producer to Spearhead Company's Slate of Unscripted TV Programs

MIAMI, June 19, 2012 | SHOOT Publicity Wire | --- In a move that will put more power behind its aggressive unscripted television slate, 2C Media has appointed Igal Svet its Vice President of Development. In this Miami-based role, Svet will be instrumental in not only spearheading the production company's unscripted development slate, but in also pitching and selling the projects. He will report directly to 2C Media President/co-founder Chris Sloan and Carla Kaufman Sloan.

"Igal has a demonstrated vision and the perfect background to help take 2C's unscripted efforts to the next level," said Sloan in making today's announcement. Svet joins 2C Media as the company prepares to premiere its fifth cable television series, Travel Channel's "Airport 24/7: Miami," and just following Animal Planet's second season premiere of "Swamp Wars." These latest successes—coupled with the Sloans' passion for creating compelling entertainment—are fueling the expansion of 2C Media's original, unscripted television efforts.

Most recently, Svet served as Producer on a range of major cable network series, including truTV's "Full Throttle Saloon," History's "Top Gear" and Lifetime's "Love Handles." He previously played an instrumental role at BBC Worldwide's development department in Los Angeles, and worked alongside industry veterans Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens at Reveille. Svet graduated magna cum laude from Boston University.
