    HOLLYWOOD, Calif. --

The Cinema Audio Society has set its nominees in seven categories for the 59th Annual CAS Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing 2022.

Nominated in the live-action feature film category were All Quiet on the Western Front, Avatar: The Way of Water, Elvis, The Batman and Top Gun: Maverick.

One-hour TV series nominations went to the audio teams behind episodes of Better Call Saul, Ozark, Severance, Stranger Things and The White Lotus.

The 59th CAS Awards will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.

Oscar-nominated production sound mixer Peter J. Devlin CAS (Black Panther, Wakanda Forever) will be lauded with the CAS Career Achievement Award.

Alejandro González Iñárritu (Bardo, The Revenant, Birdman) will be honored as the 2023 CAS Filmmaker of the Year.

The CAS Award nominees are uniquely chosen by sound mixers, to celebrate excellence in their craft of sound mixing for film and television. Hundreds of entries are reviewed and evaluated every year by experienced and accomplished CAS members who understand the art and science of sound mixing.

“There are a plethora of award-worthy contenders this year,” said CAS president Karol Urban. “CAS congratulates our industry on the rich sonic tapestries of 2022 and looks forward to celebrating the season’s chosen award recipients for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing.

As previously announced, five finalists are vying for the Student Recognition Award. The winner will be announced at the awards gala. In addition, the CAS will announce its newly elected CAS Board of Directors.

    Wednesday, December 10, 2025

Independent film companies Autumn Bailey Entertainment (ABE) and Ty Walker’s Braveheart Entertainment are entering into a major production partnership with one of Atlanta’s most advanced and expansive film campuses, Assembly Studios, managed by Universal Production Services.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone in Georgia’s rapidly evolving film landscape--uniting two leading creative producers known for acclaimed projects such as On a Wing and a Prayer and The First Noelle: The Maynard Jackson Documentary with

Partnering with Assembly Studios, owned by Gray Media, and Universal Production Services means creating a foundation where those voices can be nurtured, amplified, and seen on a global stage. Together, we’re not just expanding production capacity--we’re investing in the creative soul of Georgia and the next generation of visionary filmmakers.”

Ty Walker, founder of Braveheart Entertainment, said, “Braveheart was founded on a commitment to bold, elevated storytelling--work that challenges convention while remaining deeply human at its core.
