BBH London Boosts Creative Department With Teams From Uncommon, Mother and House 337

    LONDON --

BBH London has hired three senior creative teams who come over from Mother, Uncommon and House 337.

They will work as “striker teams” across BBH’s portfolio of brands and report into Felipe Serradourada Guimaraes, who was recently promoted to executive creative director.

Returning to BBH from Uncommon is the creative duo of Ash Hamilton and Sara Sutherland. Hamilton and Sutherland have a string of Golds, Silvers, and Bronzes from Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, British Arrows, Creative Circle and more; however they state that their biggest achievement to date was winning the coveted “most complained-about ad” of 2019. They were behind the five-minute Squadbusters epic that brought together A-list Hollywood talent, eggs, and Nickelback, made Heineken the packshot for a Brewdog film, and recently put out a weird Scandi spot featuring Haaland for Beats. On the side, Hamilton writes and directs as part of HOTDOG, with a dark comedy short premiering at the BFI this March, and Sutherland is the foreperson for Creative Circle’s Gold Film jury this year.

Joining from Mother are the Cannes Lions Grand Prix-winning duo Jack Gravatt and Till Dittmers. Since starting their careers in Auckland, New Zealand, the two have racked up accolades at every major international award show. Some of their highlights include Meddle in the New Zealand Election, where they influenced the political landscape through some clever social media meddling; their Grand Prix-winning work “The Last Performance,” in which they brought deceased characters back from the dead to talk about life insurance; and IKEA’s “Cribs,” which helped Brits boast while they host during the cost-of-living crisis. In 2023, Gravatt and Dittmers were recognized as two of the Top 10 Cannes Lions Creatives as well as Top Five Next Creatives at D&AD in 2021.

The final addition to the department is the team of Holly Fallows and Charlotte Watmough, who join BBH after a stint at House 337 (formerly WCRS).

Passionate about using their skills to create social change, the pair masterminded the viral campaign for Women’s Aid, “He’s Coming Home,” which cracked the social algorithm, went viral globally and received two Cannes Lions and a D&AD Pencil, among other awards. They continued to show their passion for riling up the British press with their Peta spot “Red River Farm,” a children’s TV show with a sinister twist (and another Cannes Lion winner). Throughout their career Fallows and Watmough have also championed and helped raise creative talent by coaching and mentoring young teams.

BBH ECD Serradourada Guimaraes said, “They say to hire people that are better than you. Well, here they are. Three very talented, incredibly lovely and very hungry creative teams. Watch this space as they help shape this next chapter of BBH.”

Gravatt and Dittmers in a joint statement shared, “It would be a crying shame to not say something about two Kiwis feeling at home in a flock of sheep. So, there you go… Super stoked to be a part of this talented and lovely team. Exciting times ahoof.”

Fallows and Watmough stated, “You know you’ve gone to the right place when you remember being sat in Margate in the pissing rain at 3am and your partner leans to you and shouts right down your ear hole–WE SHOULD GO TO BBH. You turn, look at all three of her, and wholeheartedly agree.”

Hamilton and Sutherland added, “We’ve always followed our gut. It’s what made us leave BBH, and it’s what brought us back”

Peter Jackson To Receive An Honorary Palme d’Or At Cannes Film Festival

    Friday, March 6, 2026

The Cannes Film Festival will honor filmmaker Peter Jackson with an honorary Palme d'Or at the upcoming French festival.

Festival organizers announced Jackson as a recipient Thursday for what they hailed as "a body of work that blends Hollywood blockbusters and films d'auteur with extraordinary artistic vision and technological audacity."

The "Lord of the Rings" director, in a statement, called the honor "one of the greatest privileges of my career." Jackson recalled that he first came to Cannes in 1988 to sell his first movie, "Bad Taste." In 2002, he returned to preview "The Fellowship of the Ring."

"This festival has always celebrated bold, visionary cinema, and I'm incredibly grateful to the Festival de Cannes for being recognized among the filmmakers and the artists whose work continues to inspire me," Jackson said.

Last year, Cannes gave honorary Palme d'Or prizes to Robert De Niro and Denzel Washington. This year's edition runs May 12-23.
