    PARIS --

Bertille Toledano has been named president of Havas Creative Network and CEO of Havas Creative Middle East.

Toledano will continue in her role as CEO of Havas agency BETC which was founded 30 years ago by Mercedes Erra and Rémi Babinet, who now serve as chairs of its Supervisory Board. Since joining the Group in 2012, Toledano has worked alongside Stéphane Xiberras, president and chief creative officer, BETC, and head of the Global Creative Council of Havas Creative Network, to advance the agency creatively and on the international stage. Today, BETC is recognized as a world-class, award-winning shop, including its ranking as the first agency for creativity by WARC in 2024.

Now as president of Havas Creative Network–under the leadership of Donna Murphy, CEO of Havas Creative and Health Networks–Toledano will join Havas’ Executive Committee, embodying the Group’s commitment to creativity at the highest level.

Over the past years, Toledano has also played a significant role internationally, particularly in the Middle East, a region where Havas works in close partnership with the Chalhoub Group. Toledano will bring her energy, talent, and vision to the Middle East, by overseeing all creative, PR, CX, production and event activities across the region. On this occasion, the Havas Creative Middle East agencies will be renamed BETC Middle East.

In this role, Toledano will work closely with Havas CEO Yannick Bolloré, Erra and Murphy, with the support of Alberto Canteli, chairman & CEO, NEC region and the Middle East and chairman Africa, as well as Dany Naaman, CEO of Havas Middle East, to ensure that this region delivers its full creative and business potential leveraging Havas’ Converged.AI strategy.

“In the age of AI, our clients are increasingly seeking to partner with creative powerhouses that are culturally relevant, locally insightful, and globally outstanding. They expect world-class creativity backed by bold production capabilities. That’s why creative excellence is at the heart of our strategy, and Bertille’s vision and leadership will help us bring this ambition to life in a region full of opportunities,” said Bolloré.

“Bertille’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Havas Creative. The Middle East represents one of our most dynamic growth regions, and her creative vision, international experience, and entrepreneurial spirit will help us unlock its full potential. I’m thrilled to welcome her to our global leadership team and to collaborate on realizing the region’s full potential,” said Murphy.

“Bertille embodies all the cultural values that Remi and I deeply believed in at BETC. I’m proud that she can carry them forward today within the Havas Group,” stated Erra.

While Aware Of Potential Oscar History Ahead, Ryan Coogler Is Focused On “Sinners” Team Before Ceremony

    Friday, March 13, 2026

Ryan Coogler understands what Sunday night could mean for Oscar history. He's just not dwelling on it.

Instead, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker is looking forward to spending one more night with his "Sinners" collaborators who helped bring the film to life.

Coogler could become the first Black filmmaker to win best director in the Academy Awards' nearly century-long history. While speaking before the eighth annual Macro Pre-Oscars party Thursday night in Los Angeles, he said he's trying to stay present as the ceremony approaches.

"I'm just trying to enjoy the days as they come, stay present in the moment," Coogler told The Associated Press. "When Sunday comes, man, I'm pull up and enjoy celebrating all the movies that's being celebrated here, including our own."

For Coogler, the Oscars also mark the final stop in a monthslong journey shared with the cast and creative team behind "Sinners."

Since early January, the group has traveled the awards circuit together, appearing at major stops including the Golden Globes,Actors Awards and NAACP Image Awards as the film built momentum ahead of the Oscars, where it's the leading nominee with 16.

Coogler said that experience helped turn the production into something closer to a family.

"We made a big ole family," he said. "Sunday kind of represents the last time that we all get to hang with each other in an official capacity as the 'Sinners' team."

After the ceremony, those gatherings will likely become less frequent.

"The next time we see each other, it won't be for this movie unless it's doing like a reunion or something," Coogler said. "I'm looking forward to hanging out with a lot of people that I love. We were able to do something very specific... Read More
