    NEW YORK --

Cabin Editing Company is expanding its New York office, with six new hires consisting of head of production Sari Resnick and five editors: Alvaro del Val, Carla Luffe, Nina Sacharow, Dylan Edwards, and Matt Schaff. Cabin editor Robert Lopuski has also joined the company’s New York roster from Los Angeles. Cabin’s New York office opened in May of this year under the leadership of managing partner Maggie Meade, and the growing team has signed a lease for 7,500 square feet of office space in Soho.

Resnick joins Cabin from Droga5’s in-house agency Second Child where she served as executive post producer. She previously held post producer roles at Work Editorial, where she was part of the team that spearheaded the opening of its New York office, as well as Bikini Editorial and Peepshow Post. Before she transitioned into the producer role, Resnick worked her way up as an assistant editor and then cutting assistant at shops including Final Cut, Cosmo Street, and Filmcore/Beast Editorial. As a producer, her work has earned multiple awards including Cannes Lions and Clios.

Born and raised in Bilbao, Spain, del Val has made a name for himself as an editor in several international markets, first with Spain’s Prisa Group, followed by Serena Digital in both Madrid and Dubai, then at Uppercut and WAX in New York, and now Cabin. His work includes a range of commercials, music videos, and documentary shorts, with brand clients including Volvo, Fitbit, American Express, Nike, Adidas, Google, VANS, Mercedes and Nestle. He has earned awards from the AICE, AICP, Cannes Lions, D&AD and The One Show.

Luffe is an internationally acclaimed editor working across commercials, music videos, television, and feature films. Her editing career began at production house Zentropa, later joining Trim and Rock Paper Scissors for commercial work. In 2018 Luffe received Denmark’s highest honor, a Robert Award, for her work on The Guilty (winner of the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award). She was also named Editor of the Year at the 2020 Ciclope Festival, and has earned accolades from Cannes Lions, the Clios, D&AD, AICP, The One Show and Eurobest. She has collaborated with brands including Nike, H&M, Volkswagen, and Volvo. She splits her time between New York and Europe.

Sacharow specializes in evocative documentary-style branded content and commercials. Born and raised in New York City, she has worked on a range of projects over the past decade through in-house roles at Vice Media, Droga5, and others, working with clients including Facebook, Paramount, Sprint, Logitech, and IHOP. She earned a D&AD Graphite Pencil for Best Editing as well as accolades from The One Show, Cannes Lions, and the Webby Awards for the COVID-era “Never Lost” spot for Facebook, which has over 200 million views to date. She also edited the viral “When It’s All Over” PSA for Reform Alliance, which revealed the horrors of the U.S. prison system, as well as the documentary short Living Distance, which was featured in the 2020 Sundance New Frontier program.

The Brooklyn-based Edwards has edited commercial, music video, and documentary projects for noteworthy brands and talent, including the recent “Star-Crossed” 50-minute visual album for Kacey Musgraves, and brand work including campaigns for Facebook, Google, Match.com, Marriott, Nissan, Vogue, and Louis Vuitton. Edwards began his career in the news and documentary world at ABC News before stepping out on his own to pursue freelance editing full time, building a wide network of relationships with directors and agencies that he brings to Cabin.

Schaff’s projects have screened at SXSW and Tribeca, and earned a YDA Gold Screen award, Silver Clio, and several Vimeo Staff Picks. He has worked with brands including Adidas, Nike, the NFL, Remy Martin, Versace, and Michelob, and musicians including Leon Bridges, J. Cole, The Chainsmokers, and Lewis Capaldi. Schaff’s documentary projects include feature films Some Kind of Heaven and Maybe Next Year and shorts While You Were Sleeping, Leon, The Happiest Guy In the World and Every Nite is Emo Nite.

Cabin is repped by Hunky Dory on the East Coast, in addition to Baer Brown in the Midwest and Red Rep on the West Coast.
