The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has unveiled the nominations for the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards with Chernobyl topping the tally, scoring 14 nominations–11 in Craft categories and three in Television Awards.
Next up with seven overall nominations (four Craft, three Television) was The Crown followed by six apiece for Fleabag (three craft/three Television) and Girl/Haji (three Craft/three Television).
Garnering five nods each were His Dark Materials (all in Craft) and The Virtues (two Craft/three Television). And earning four noms apiece were Killing Eve (three Craft, one Television), Sex Education (three Craft, one Television) and Top Boy (three Craft, One Television).
The awards reward the very best in television craft and TV programs broadcast in the U.K. in 2019. The Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards ceremony will be on Friday, July 31, on BBC One with the British Academy Television Craft Awards taking place online on Friday, July 17.
