Directing Collective Little Village Joins Hey Wonderful

Mike Malagon (l) and Campbell Brewer of Little Village
    --

RSA’s Hey Wonderful has signed Little Village, a directing collective specializing in branded content, commercials and documentary shorts. Led by Campbell Brewer and Mike Malagon, Little Village has the ability to tell stories from the perspective of some of the industry’s most exciting young talent and go beyond to tap into their collective community for cinematography, photography, producing and editing. Little Village has directed for brands such as Airbnb, Patagonia, Southwest Airlines and Vans, always with a style grounded in relatable human moments, experiences and authenticity.

Campbell and Malagon first worked together on location in Istanbul for group travel company EF.  They formed Little Village in 2014, choosing the name because of collective experience rooted in teamwork, creative collaboration and community spirit. Hey Wonderful is their first home for commercial representation.

Both Brewer and Malagon learned their craft shooting in challenging locations with nimble crews, and as a result are versatile shooters, directors, editors and producers. Over the past seven years, they’ve filmed in over 30 countries including some of the most remote places on earth—the Mongolian steppe, the jungles of Sri Lanka and even the 14,500-foot summit of Mt. Whitney in their home state of California. Passion for a brand’s core values drives their work to date, which is often experiential and story-driven, with philanthropic tie-ins providing an added draw.

Michael Di Girolamo, managing director/executive producer of Hey Wonderful, said, “Campbell and Mike are storytellers who bring an essential understanding and successful practice of the filmmaking process guiding our business today. They are just as adept working with small crews and bundling production requirements like cinematography, production design and editing, as they are working with big crews on large-scale productions. They’re passionate about their craft and bring a contagious optimism to everything they do.”

Little Village’s Malagon commented, “Joining Hey Wonderful @RSA puts us in company with some of the brightest and most talented people in the industry. We’re humbled and grateful to be part of the team. Hey Wonderful’s emphasis on storytelling through branded content and their understanding of where the industry is going get us excited about the type of work we’re going to make together.”

Brewer added, “We knew it would be a natural fit right away. We’re happy to be part of the Hey Wonderful team and the RSA family.”

Filmmaker Anthony Leonardi III Joins RSA Films For Commercial Representation

    Thursday, December 11, 2025

RSA Films has added director and artist Anthony Leonardi III to its roster for commercial representation in the U.S.

Leonardi’s extensive credits include brand partnerships with the Marvel universe on campaigns for Lexus, Tide, Audi and the Super Bowl spots “Mini Marvel” for Coca-Cola and “No Shrinking and Drinking” for Heineken. He was a second unit director on blockbusters Lilo & Stitch and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. He’s worked with a list of talent including Robert Downey Jr., Ana de Armas, Paul Rudd, Eric Andre, Elizabeth Olson, Kamail Nanjiani, Brie Larson, The Rock, Danai Gurira, Chris Hemsworth and Anthony Mackie. And Leonardi has partnered with agencies to direct campaigns for brands such as Old Spice, Chevy, Mountain Dew, Miller Lite, Hyundai, Hertz and more. Prior to joining RSA, Leonardi had most recently been repped in the ad arena by production house Eleanor.

An expert in world building, with a distinctive style that delivers a visually rich, action packed and entertaining cinematic experience, Leonardi has a visual aesthetic which grew from a childhood obsession with comics. “There was a comic shop in my hometown that I went to every day after school,” he said. “Eventually the owner’s son started letting me hang around after closing. He’d hand me a stack of paper and tell me to try drawing from any of the books I wanted. It blew my mind wide open and was the first time I realized I had a skill with art that was unique to me. It gave me my voice.”

Leonardi refined his talent studying character animation and film at CalArts, then later directing, at The AFI Film Conservatory where he first met Luke Ricci, who is now president of RSA Films US. “Luke was one of the first people... Read More
