    David Wilson
    LOS ANGELES & LONDON --

David Wilson has joined the global directing roster of Biscuit Filmworks for commercial representation.

An eclectic storyteller, Wilson expertly weaves together rich, textured, character-filled worlds with inherent musicality, playfulness, and sophisticated execution. His career encompasses large-scale campaigns, genre-defining music videos, and captivating short films. Wilson’s brand collaborations include Nike, Apple, Facebook, Etsy, Ikea, O2, Cadbury, Spotify, and LEGO. His work with artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Christine and the Queens, Tove Lo, Glass Animals, and Metronomy has solidified his status in the music video world, while his ongoing creative partnerships with Arcade Fire and Tame Impala highlight his passion for the medium and its artistry. Wilson has garnered numerous awards from international festivals and shows, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Kinsale Sharks, Grammys, Berlin Music Video Awards, Creative Circle, MTV VMAs, EUROBEST, British Arrows, LIA, UKMVAs, and inclusion in Saatchi & Saatchi’s New Directors Showcase.

Prior to joining Biscuit, Wilson was repped by Riff Raff in the U.S. and U.K. He is currently repped in France by Le Pac.

Wilson attended the University of Brighton for Illustration, where the conceptual course primed him for music videos and commercials, requiring quick responses based on limited briefs. It was during this time that he began making films, all self-taught. While most of his work remains film-driven, Wilson’s start in the animation world brings his extensive knowledge in that field to his mixed-media work; he approaches his projects with an animator’s mindset, thinking graphically, methodically storyboarding, and creating animatics.

“My aim is to move people emotionally in a positive way,” said Wilson. “I’m excited to be working with Biscuit, as they are a well-established powerhouse with brilliant, amazing, and kind people. We share the same values, so it was an easy choice to make.”

“David is an artist and storyteller who brings joy and delight to everything he makes,” said Rupert Reynolds-MacLean, managing director of Biscuit Filmworks UK. “I have admired his work for such a long time; he’s a wonderful addition to our roster.”

“David’s infectious energy and willingness to dive into every collaboration with enthusiasm make him a real force in the industry,” said Jordana Freydberg, executive producer at Biscuit. “That, coupled with his vibrant, culture-defining filmmaking, makes him the perfect fit for our roster.”

Video Game Performers Ratify Contract To End Nearly Yearlong Strike

    Wednesday, July 9, 2025

Unionized video game performers have overwhelmingly voted to approve a new contract with their employers. The vote, whose results were announced Wednesday night by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, ends a nearly three-year-long effort from union negotiators to obtain a new contract for the performers. The process, which included an 11-month strike against several major game makers, hinged on how artificial intelligence would affect performers in the industry. SAG-AFTRA said 95% of the members who voted favored ratification. The new contract delivers pay raises, control over performers' likenesses and artificial intelligence protections. A tentative contract agreement was first reached in early June between the union and an industry bargaining group consisting of several major video game companies, including Activision, Disney and Electronic Arts. Video game performers "endured a great deal of sacrifice throughout the 11-month strike," Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, the SAG-AFTRA national executive director and chief negotiator said in a press release announcing the results. "Now that the agreement is ratified, video game performers will be able to enjoy meaningful gains and important A.I. protections, which we will continue to build on as uses of this technology settle and evolve," Crabtree-Ireland wrote. Audrey Cooling, a spokesperson for the video game producers involved in the deal, wrote that the agreement "delivers historic wage increases, industry-leading A.I. protections, and enhanced health and safety measures for performers." "We look forward to building on our industry's decades-long partnership with the union and continuing to create groundbreaking entertainment experiences for billions of players... Read More
