    Jimmy Tatro
    LOS ANGELES --

Bicoastal creative studio SixTwentySix has signed Jimmy Tatro to its roster of commercial directors. This marks his first representation in the advertising arena.

SixTwentySix produced Tatro’s debut commercial last summer, Dunkin’s “The Value Affleck,” which went on to earn a Webby Award nomination this year. Based on his positive experience on that project, Tatro subsequently decided to officially partner with SixTwentySix.

A versatile creative, Tatro is a writer, director, producer and actor who’s known for his distinct comedic perspective and work across digital media, film and television. He writes and directs his own projects, including all three seasons of “The Real Bros of Simi Valley,” which he also created and starred in. He first gained attention as the creator and star of the popular YouTube series “Life According to Jimmy.” The series, which he wrote, produced and directed with his friend, became a viral hit and led to a breakout role for Tatro in “22 Jump Street,” alongside Channing Tatum.

Other onscreen highlights include starring as the lead in the 2017 Netflix Original series “American Vandal,” for which Tatro received a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for Best Actor. Recent credits include Netflix’s series “The Hawk” and Paramount’s “Scream 7,” both in 2026. Tatro will also appear in upcoming projects, including Amazon MGM’s film “Judgment Day” and the much-anticipated “Gorilla Grodd” series from DC Comics, for which he will play the title character.

“Tatro is a creative multihyphenate. One of the things that impressed us most about him is the incredible depth and range of perspective and creativity that he brings to visual storytelling. Whether it’s behind or in front of the camera, Tatro knows how to best capture and bring a story to life in new and unexpected ways,” said SixTwentySix co-founder Jake Krask.

Founded by Krask and Austin Barbera, SixTwentySix is a full-service creative studio that has launched culturally driven and entertainment-forward campaigns for global brands such as Coca-Cola, Samsung, Amazon and Adidas. Recent high-profile projects include Dunkin’ Donuts’ high-energy “Dunk N’ Pump” campaign with Megan Thee Stallion and a 2026 Clio Award–winning activation for Nike at ComplexCon celebrating Lil Yachty’s Concrete Boys. The studio is known for its ability to operate at the intersection of brand, talent and storytelling and has notched industry honors spanning The One Show, Webbys, Tellys, CICLOPE, and the MTV VMAs.

Duane “Keffe D” Davis’ Murder Trial Heads To Closing In Tupac Shakur’s 1996 Killing

    Friday, August 28, 2026

The murder trial of Duane "Keffe D" Davis in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur is headed to closing arguments after the defense rested Thursday following testimony from three former Las Vegas police officers.

Jurors are scheduled to return Monday for closing arguments before beginning deliberations in the only prosecution brought in the killing of the hip-hop icon. The presentation of evidence ended after nine days of testimony.

Davis, 63, did not take the stand.

Shakur was riding in a BMW on Sept. 7, 1996, when a white Cadillac pulled up next to it at a red light near the Las Vegas Strip and gunfire erupted. Shakur was shot multiple times and died six days later. The driver of the BMW, Marion "Suge" Knight, survived.

Years later, Davis would say he procured the gun and his nephew, who has since died, fired the shots. Prosecutors say Davis orchestrated the killing, and he faces life in prison if convicted of murder with a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang. He has pleaded not guilty.

Defense attorney Michael Sanft has argued that Davis fabricated or embellished his accounts of the killing for money and notoriety and that investigators failed to independently corroborate his claims.

Retired Las Vegas homicide detective Dan Long, the defense's final witness, testified that he tried unsuccessfully to verify several details Davis provided during a 2009 police interview.

Davis told Long that his nephew, Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson, had gone to a Las Vegas hospital after being beaten by Shakur and others in a casino brawl hours before the rapper was fatally shot. Long said he was unable to find hospital records confirming Anderson was treated there.

    Long also tried... Read More
