Director Patrice Lighter Joins Station Film, Wraps Campaign For NYX

LOS ANGELES & NEW YORK --

Station Film has added Brooklyn-based director Patrice Lighter to its roster for commercials and branded entertainment. This marks her first production company representation in the U.S.

Lighter–who previously worked independently via her own creative studio–has directed striking campaigns for TikTok, Stripe and Nike, to note only a few, which reflect her talent for authenticity and candor, with a style that captures the emotion of the moment and the pulse of the culture. She has directed her first campaign at Station for NYX Professional Makeup, a subsidiary of L’Oréal, featuring Corporate Natalie.

A strong proponent of positivity on set and in life in general, Lighter shared, “I have a lot of empathy and compassion. I believe my job is to make people feel empowered and good. I want everybody to feel famous. That’s the energy I bring to my work and onto set. I think people can be rock stars no matter what they’re doing.”

Lighter knows a little something about being a rock star. Her artistic roots took shape as a pop artist/songwriter, initially performing in a band during college at Stony Brook University where she earned her MBA. She worked closely with creative partner Joe Accardi, who initially filmed her on stage before the two branched out making music videos for other bands–including a year with Usher.

“It was a pleasure seeing Patrice in action on the NYX Social Campaign,” said Caroline Gibney, founding partner, Station Film. “Her creative process from prep through post is inclusive, detailed and dynamic. She definitely does the hard work and she is a rock star.”

“When you meet Patrice, her energy jumps out at you and is contagious,” added Michelle Towse, partner/executive producer, Station Film. “She is enthusiastic and positive. She’s also in sync with the cultural moment. We’re elated she’s on board.”

“It was a natural transition to come to Station,” Lighter said. “Bess Howell, Station’s rep at Miss Smith and a good friend of mine, connected us. We hit it off. I love the team and what they’re doing, their forward-thinking perspective.”

Lighter’s work for brands such as First Response, Happy Baby, EBRP and folk music artists Joseph, strives to empower women and the LGBTQA+ community. Among her aspirations at Station, hands down, she says, is working with Disney on a brand partnership campaign. “I believe in the magic and have a natural enthusiasm for it.”

Much like one of her favorite artists–Joan Jett and the Runaways–Lighter said, “I’d rather be true to myself and what I believe in rather than change myself for mass appeal. That has been my guiding light.”

Director Milo Blake Signs With PRETTYBIRD For U.K. Representation

    Tuesday, August 11, 2026

PRETTYBIRD has added director Milo Blake to its U.K. roster. He continues to be handled by Furlined for commercial representation in the U.S.

Blake is a British filmmaker, based in London, whose style and fascination with stories have been shaped by the cultural resonance of the city and the people within it. His eye for a set piece developed early, as whole worlds and universes built from his toys regularly took over the rooms of his childhood home. Inspired by the eclectic films in his parents’ DVD collection, that curiosity soon found a more permanent medium in filmmaking, sowing the seeds of a lifelong passion for film.

Coming up, he made his name in the U.K.’s alternative music scene through collaborations with artists such as Obongjayar, Rachel Chinouriri, Lava La Rue, Big Piig, Louis Culture and Lord Apex. His music video work has been screened and gained recognition at SXSW Festival, Oscar-qualifying film festivals like New Orleans and Rhode Island as well as the UKMVAs. His video for Oscar Jerome in 2025 won him a Vimeo Staff Pick. His hybrid feature concert film, All the Way From the Sun, documented Loyle Carner’s epic inaugural show at the Royal Albert Hall for his acclaimed album, “Hugo.”

In 2025, Blake’s film The Empty Seat for the Paralympics won a Clio for Social Good, Gold in the YDA commercial category, Best New Director at the Young Arrows, and received Silver and Bronze awards at Ciclope. Recent films include History is Calling for Puy du Fou España and Our House is Not a Home for the homelessness charity Shelter, which garnered a Wood Pencil at D&AD and a Silver at the British Arrows in 2026. Prior to joining PRETTYBIRD, Blake was repped in the U.K. ad market by... Read More
