    Roger Guàrdia
    LOS ANGELES --

Visual artist and film director Roger Guàrdia has signed with Serial Pictures for commercial, branded entertainment and music video representation in the U.S.

Guàrdia’s portfolio merges art, fashion, commercial and music videos. He has collaborated with global brands including UNICEF, Nike, Converse, Stella McCartney, Zara, H&M, Tecate, Adidas, and YouTube; and photographed celebrities Micheal Phelps, Alex Honnold, Virgil Van Dyke, K-Pop sensation Lay Zhang, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and musician Raye.

Guàrdia’s latest is the triptych art film 3xANIMAx3, commissioned by the Italian Magazine Carnale Room to celebrate their launch. Presented in a sensorial triptych format with three synchronized screens projecting at the same time, 3xANIMAx3 explores the eye(s) as the ultimate bridge between desire, eroticism, mystery and divinity. The project, which was accompanied by a print and digital photo editorial, premiered in Milan last month and will be part of an upcoming physical film installation in New York.

“As a director, artist and photographer, Roger creates a unique visual language that boldly unites fashion, music, cinema and culture,” said Serial founder and executive producer Violaine Etienne. “Driven by immersive soundscapes and nuanced lighting, his cinematic experiences are poetic, sensual and audacious, bringing emotion and edge to his storytelling.”

Guàrdia said, “Joining Serial feels like a natural evolution in my journey–both an authentic pleasure and an exciting new chapter. I’ve always admired their focus on bold and singular voices, representing a carefully curated and selective group of directors, artists, and photographers whose work is distinctive and truly stands out. When I met Violaine and Sara [Serial EP Greco], I instantly connected with their vision, sensibility, taste, and human warmth.”

Working with labels like Sony Music, Warp, and Captured Tracks, Guàrdia has turned out music videos for artists like ROSALÍA, Battles, Bad Gyal and Mourn that have garnered nominations for top awards including the UKMVAs. And Guàrdia’s commercial and fashion work has been awarded at CICLOPE, Webby Awards, 1.4 Awards, Berlin Commercial, Berlin Fashion Film festival, Canadian International fashion film festival, Fashion Film Festival Milano and many more.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Barcelona, Guàrdia started developing his style in the Spanish underground, making music videos for the burgeoning artists around him. He brought his curiosity for cinema and ambitions to hone his technique with him to New York City, where he’s been based since.

Prior to joining Serial Pictures, Guàrdia had been repped in the U.S. by Park Pictures. He continues to be repped Canada in Spain and Anorak in Germany.

While Aware Of Potential Oscar History Ahead, Ryan Coogler Is Focused On “Sinners” Team Before Ceremony

    Friday, March 13, 2026

Ryan Coogler understands what Sunday night could mean for Oscar history. He's just not dwelling on it.

Instead, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker is looking forward to spending one more night with his "Sinners" collaborators who helped bring the film to life.

Coogler could become the first Black filmmaker to win best director in the Academy Awards' nearly century-long history. While speaking before the eighth annual Macro Pre-Oscars party Thursday night in Los Angeles, he said he's trying to stay present as the ceremony approaches.

"I'm just trying to enjoy the days as they come, stay present in the moment," Coogler told The Associated Press. "When Sunday comes, man, I'm pull up and enjoy celebrating all the movies that's being celebrated here, including our own."

For Coogler, the Oscars also mark the final stop in a monthslong journey shared with the cast and creative team behind "Sinners."

Since early January, the group has traveled the awards circuit together, appearing at major stops including the Golden Globes,Actors Awards and NAACP Image Awards as the film built momentum ahead of the Oscars, where it's the leading nominee with 16.

Coogler said that experience helped turn the production into something closer to a family.

"We made a big ole family," he said. "Sunday kind of represents the last time that we all get to hang with each other in an official capacity as the 'Sinners' team."

After the ceremony, those gatherings will likely become less frequent.

"The next time we see each other, it won't be for this movie unless it's doing like a reunion or something," Coogler said. "I'm looking forward to hanging out with a lot of people that I love. We were able to do something very specific... Read More
