    LOS ANGELES --

The Cinema Audio Society has unveiled its nominees in seven categories for the 62nd Annual CAS Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing, honoring work released in 2025. Among the feature films in the running are F1: The Movie, Frankenstein, One Battle After Another and Sinners. One-hour TV series nominees are Andor, Pluribus, Severance, Stranger Things and The Pitt.

The 62nd CAS Awards will be held on Saturday, March 7, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

As previously announced, Academy Award®–winning re-recording mixer Skip Lievsay CAS (Gravity, No Country for Old Men, Roma) will be honored with the CAS Career Achievement Award. In addition, visionary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, Frankenstein) will receive the Cinema Audio Society Filmmaker Award.

The CAS Award nominees highlight the outstanding contributions of sound mixers, recognizing excellence in the specialized craft of sound mixing for both motion pictures and television. Each year, accomplished CAS members–who possess extensive expertise in the art and science of sound–review hundreds of submissions to ensure the nominees represent the highest standards of achievement in cinematic sound.

“2025 showcased an extraordinary range, ambition, and artistry across the sound community,” said Peter Kurland, CAS president. “From intimate character-driven stories to large-scale spectacles, this year’s nominees demonstrate the impact of outstanding sound mixing across film and television. Their work continues to push the craft forward, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements.”

Additionally, five finalists are vying for the CAS Student Recognition Award, with the winner to be announced during the awards gala. The Cinema Audio Society will also introduce its newly elected Board of Directors at the ceremony.

London Alley Signs Director Boni Mata

    Friday, August 14, 2026

London Alley has signed director Boni Mata to its roster for worldwide representation spanning commercials, branded content and music videos. London Alley, which is part of the VICE Media family, becomes the first production company to handle Mata for spots and branded content globally.

A Clio Award-winning Spanish-American writer and director based in New York, Mata has a body of work which encompasses commercials, music videos, short films and short form television series. She has also written several feature scripts. At London Alley, Mata recently directed the “Illuminate” music video from Jessie Reyez and Elyanna which was part of the official 2026 FIFA World Cup soundtrack, as well as the Milani Cosmetics new brand campaign “What’s Inside is Everything,” reframing beauty through a more intimate lens, imagining a world less focused on exterior beauty and more rooted in confidence and individuality.

“London Alley has a rare ability to make work that promises both cultural immediacy and cinematic innovation,” said Mata. “I’ve already had the chance to make some of my favorite work with them, and there’s a genuine sense of trust in the way the team champions directors and their visions. As an aspiring director making digicam videos for my college housemates, London Alley was one of the first production companies whose name I learned. I am so honored and excited to build on this relationship and continue making lasting art together.”

London Alley executive producer Matthew Kauth said, “Over the past six months, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Boni on several projects. I was blown away by her ability to collaborate with creatives while presenting a clear and strong point of view. She possesses that rare... Read More
