    LOS ANGELES --

Production house JOJX has launched JOJX Studio, a creative shop featuring a roster of internationally recognized artists and design collectives. The new venture’s mission is to create bold, cutting-edge digital and CG-driven commercial and direct-to-brand content for select clients. Opening at a moment of rapid industry change accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, JOJX Studio provides a centralized global community of makers in the digital space.

Nine artists and studios comprise the inaugural JOJX Studio roster, including First Things, the partnership of UK-born and NY-based design director Matt Whitewood, and Antar Walker, an award-winning multidisciplinary designer and director; and The Dink, an award-winning designer and animator based in London.

The roster also includes Yambo, a CGI-driven design studio offering vivid graphic solutions; Aixsponza, comprised of designers and self-professed technology geeks who produce animation; Frame, a Copenhagen-based motion design studio with a Nordic flavor and an international footprint; NotReal, a multidisciplinary creative studio focused on art direction and animation based in Buenos Aires; and XK, an innovative and award-winning London-based design and motion practice.

All the talent on this roster garners their first U.S. representation via JOJX Studio, the lone exception being Frame, a collective earlier repped in the American market by Big Block.

3D artist/designer Alexa Sirbu, co-founder of XK, said, “We’re very much looking forward to bringing our unique style and experimental approach to the roster and the opportunity to craft captivating visuals with some exciting brands.”

3D artist/designer Yam Ben Adiva, founder of Yambo, shared, “Our studio was born from the idea of global collaboration. We believe in the creation of unique and beautiful imagery through the collaboration of talented artists in different places in the world. We have been doing this for many years and this dynamism in the construction of the team helps us to tailor a plan that best suits our client needs.”

For JOJX co-founder, EP and partner Jackson Morton, the creation of a digital studio echoes his personal experience with the form, which began in childhood. His parents founded the animation studio Cucumber and invented the iconic Max Headroom character. “Animation, CG, and mixed media have always been near and dear to me,” said Morton. “The recent increase in popularity and demand for CG and mixed media concepts has driven my interest to new heights. At JOJX we are passionate about serving the needs of our evolving industry in a creative, impactful, and efficient way. From that drive, JOJX Studio was born.”

JOJX EP and partner Joe Care added, “These artists and small companies are based all over the world and each offers their own remarkable and distinct insight into the art and technology of animation and CG. Our aim with JOJX Studio is to be competitive the world over by enlisting the viewpoints of diverse cultures and experiences.”

Director Zee Ntuli Joins Eleanor For U.S. Representation

    Monday, June 23, 2025

Eleanor, the production company headed by president Sophie Gold, has added director Zee Ntuli to its roster for U.S. representation spanning commercials and branded content.

Ntuli’s work ranges from his sultry feature Hard to Get to the critically acclaimed South African crime thriller TV series Reyka, to a portfolio of award-winning commercials. And his work in one discipline informs another. “The precision of commercial work sharpens my storytelling in longform--it teaches economy, clarity, rhythm,” related Ntuli. “And in turn, my longform work brings emotional depth and psychological complexity into my commercial projects.”

His “Epic Worlds” for Samsung exemplifies such filmic dexterity. Ntuli’s razor-sharp gift for timing electrifies the pacing of this visual journey while his background in the feature world instills depth into each story’s world. Ntuli said, “We treated it like a mini feature--each vignette with its own mood, lighting rules, framing language. We referenced sci-fi, fantasy, Westerns... but always kept the camera human.”

That camera--on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra--captured the “Epic Worlds” short in its entirety.

Meanwhile Ntuli’s film “Reset” for Woolworths is an epic visual poem that weaves together microscopic and celestial snapshots of live, reflecting the director’s talent for delivering profound meaning with a poetic and elevated visual language. Ntuli explained, “This piece is a visceral, surreal ode to detail--how much it matters, and how deeply it’s felt. The goal was to heighten the everyday--using scale, rhythm, and atmosphere to make detail emotional.“

Ntuli--who prior to joining Eleanor had most recently been repped in the U.S. by... Read More
