LOBO Signs Filmmaker Cisma For Commercials and Branded Content

    Cisma, aka Denis Kamioka
SAO PAULO, Brazil & NEW YORK --

Creative studio LOBO has added multi-faceted artist Cisma (Denis Kamioka) to its directorial roster for commercials and branded content. Cisma, a self-taught motion designer, animator, and live-action director, began his career at LOBO nearly 20 years ago. His return marks a homecoming following a tenure working in Europe as a film artist.

Cisma’s filmmaking style combines live-action with heavy postproduction elements and art direction. Cisma’s work has earned a Latin Grammy nomination and many advertising festival wins, including Cannes Lions, Clio’s, D&AD, and One Show Interactive Awards. Cisma was previously repped in the U.S. by Black List/Psyop.

Starting as a motion designer and 3D animator, Cisma was quickly recognized by Diesel and asked to join their creative team in Italy. After this, he began shooting mixed-media films in Barcelona, later moving into directing music videos. To date, he’s collaborated with many artists, like Milton Nascimento, Racionais MCs, Tropkillaz, Nação Zumbi, and a music video for Criolo made in partnership with the video game franchise League of Legends. Additionally, Cisma directed sports documentaries “A História de Claudio Kano” for ESPN and “Espírito da Luta” for Canal Combate. He recently directed two episodes of the Netflix series “Sintonia” for its fourth season, reaching #1 on the Netflix Global Non-English chart. His commercial career includes brand films for Lay’s, Adobe, IBM, Fiat Abarth Pulse, Samsung Vivo, Banco Bradesco, Getty Images, a promotional film for Brazilian graffiti artist Os Gemeos entitled “The Giant,” and much more.

“It feels so good to be back home at LOBO,” said Cisma. “This place and these people shaped so much of who I am as a filmmaker. Returning to work with long-time friends and the incredible team that gave me my start 20 years ago, feels natural–like we’re still perfectly in sync.”

LOBO executive producer and partner Luis Ribeiro adds, “Cisma is a singular talent and an endlessly expansive creative mind. He’s a truly gifted motion graphics artist, and now adding live-action and art direction into the mix, Cisma can create anything he envisions. We look forward to partnering him with incredible artistic opportunities and seeing what he makes next.”

Jared Kushner Pulls Out Of Paramount’s Hostile Bid For Warner Bros. Discovery

    Wednesday, December 17, 2025

A private equity firm owned by President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is no longer backing Paramount's hostile acquisition bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, the firm confirmed Tuesday.

Days after Warner agreed to be bought by Netflix in early December, Paramount launched a rival bid that seeks to bypass Warner's management and appeal directly to its shareholders with more money. Paramount is offering $30 per Warner share to Netflix's $27.75.

Warner, one of the "big five" Hollywood studios, owns Warner Bros. Pictures, HBO, the DC Comics universe and the Harry Potter franchise. Experts say its acquisition could supercharge the winning company and reshape the streaming wars, either by catapulting Netflix further ahead of top competitors or by cementing a new power player in Paramount.

Paramount, which is significantly smaller than Netflix, said its decision to circumvent Warner's top managers came after they "never engaged meaningfully" with several earlier offers by the company.

Paramount made the details of its new offer public and gave Warner shareholders an option to tender their shares — selling them directly at a set price — in support of its bid. The company is offering to buy Warner's entire portfolio, including cable networks like CNN that Netflix excluded from its bid.

In its appeal to shareholders, Paramount argued its offer may be more likely to pass regulatory scrutiny from the Trump administration.

The president has said the Warner and Netflix deal "could be a problem" due to the size of the combined market share.

Kushner's decision to pull his firm's financial backing takes away a possible Paramount advantage to win over Trump. The amount Kushner's Affinity Partners was contributing to the... Read More
