    Lynette Howell Taylor Elected President of Motion Picture Academy

    Producer Lynette Howell Taylor has been elected president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences by the organization’s Board of Governors.

    Also elected to 2025-2026 officer positions by the Board:

    –Lesley Barber (Music Branch), Vice President (chair, Membership Committee)
    –Jennifer Fox (Producers Branch), Vice President (chair, Awards Committee)
    –Simon Kilmurry (Documentary Branch), Vice President/Treasurer (chair, Finance Committee)
    –Lou Diamond Phillips (Actors Branch), Vice President (chair, Equity and Inclusion Committee)
    –Howard A. Rodman (Writers Branch), Vice President/Secretary (chair, Governance Committee)

    “Lynette has been a vital part of the Academy Board of Governors for many years, most recently revitalizing our awards work as chair of the board’s Awards Committee. I so look forward to working with her as our new Academy president, as well as with these incredibly dedicated and strategic board officers. This is an exceptional group of Academy members who will advance the Academy’s mission, support our membership around the world, ensure our long-term financial stability, and celebrate the achievements of the global filmmaking community,” said Academy CEO Bill Kramer.

    Howell Taylor is beginning her first term as president during her second term as a governor representing the Producers Branch. She previously served for three years as vice president and chair of the Awards Committee. Barber and Rodman were re-elected as officers. It will be the first officer stint for Fox, Kilmurry and Phillips.

    An Academy member since 2014, Howell Taylor has produced more than 25 films in the last 20 years, including “A Star is Born,” which received eight Oscar® nominations and earned her a Best Picture nomination. Her film credits include “The Accountant 2,” “The Accountant,” “Captain Fantastic,” “Big Eyes,” “The Place Beyond the Pines,” “Blue Valentine,” “Half Nelson,” and the upcoming feature “Roofman.” She also produced the 92nd Oscars® show with Stephanie Allain in 2020, for which she was nominated for an Emmy®.

    Academy board members may serve up to two three-year terms (consecutive or non-consecutive), followed by a two-year hiatus, after which eligibility renews for up to two additional three-year terms for a lifetime maximum of 12 years. Officers serve one-year terms, with a maximum of four consecutive years in any one office.

    The Board of Governors sets the Academy’s strategic vision, preserves the organization’s financial health and assures the fulfillment of its mission.

    Elevado Names Bryan Farhy Managing Director To Scale Its Hybrid AI Production Studio

    Hybrid AI production studio Elevado has appointed Bryan Farhy to serve as its managing director. Farhy will own Elevado’s commercial function--leading new business, go-to-market strategy, and studio growth--as the studio expands its roster of agency and brand partners.

    The hire marks a deliberate next step for Elevado which was launched in 2025 under the Saylor umbrella. Elevado has built a reputation for hybrid workflows that fuse AI with live action, animation, and VFX for clients including Johannes Leonardo, Prime Video, Adobe, Netflix, Apple, Universal, and Hilton.

Now we’re building the business to match it,” said Rupert Cresswell, co-founder & chief creative officer, Elevado. “We’re not bolting AI onto old production models--we’ve built an entirely new one.     Farhy joins Elevado with more than two decades of commercial leadership across the production and advertising industries. His career includes senior management at Method Studios, where he served as managing director, West Coast; B-Reel, as director of business development for North America; RSA Films as executive producer and head of sales USA; and Stink Films, as North American head of sales. Across those roles he has built and led relationships with brand-side marketing leaders, agency production heads, and creative directors--and has become known for architecting brand alliances that create real, lasting value for clients and talent alike.
