    NEW YORK --

The One Club for Creativity and The 3% Movement, a leading voice in the ad industry for gender equality and diversity overall, have announced the winners of their joint Next Creative Leaders global awards program for 2019 at the eighth annual 3% Conference in Chicago.

Developed collaboratively by the organizations in 2015, Next Creative Leaders identifies and celebrates talented creative women who are making their mark with both great work and a workplace perspective on diversity that helps change the industry for the better.  While seven of this year’s honorees currently work in the U.S., the program has a strong global element with eight winners originally from other countries.

The Next Creative Leaders for 2019 are:

–Brynna Aylward, associate creative director, Red Fuse, Chicago
–Erin Evon, senior art director, R/GA New York
–Sali Horsey, copywriter, and Zoe Nash, art director (awarded as a team), adam&eveDDB, London
–Marie-Claire Maalouf, creative director, Impact BBDO Dubai (originally from Jbeil, Lebanon)
–Mariana Oliveira, associate creative director, BBDO New York (originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil)
–Patty Orlando, creative director, Wieden+Kennedy Portland
–Sara Phillips, art director, Wieden+Kennedy Portland (originally from Theescombe, Gloucestershire, UK)
–Caro Rebello, creative director, McCann New York (originally from Curitiba, Brazil)
–Hannah Smit, creative director, Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam (originally from Guelph, Canada)
–Lauren van Aswegen, creative, freelance, New York (originally from Johannesburg, South Africa)

“The One Club for Creativity has a longstanding commitment to providing programming that helps improve the industry’s diversity and gender equality,” said Kevin Swanepoel, CEO, The One Club.  “We created our own Inclusion & Diversity Department nearly a decade ago, and are proud to support programs like Next Creative Leaders that identify, elevate and give voice to those who are making a real difference.  They are the ones who are opening the door and inspiring the next generation of women who follow in their footsteps.”

Kat Gordon, founder, The 3% Movement, shared,  “I’m proud of the level of talent and spirit embodied by this year’s Next Creative Leaders and their contribution to the industry. The majority of our winners are currently or originally from outside the U.S., making this a true global showcase of diversity, advocacy and opportunity for people of every ethnicity.”

To make the Next Creative Leaders program as open and accessible as possible, there is no cost for entering the competition.  Entrants were judged on four-to-six pieces of creative work, their background, and information about how they–and their work–are pushing the industry forward and making a positive contribution in terms of diversity, mentoring and advocacy.  Winners were selected by a jury of 39 top creatives, including a number of past Next Creative Leaders winners.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Go To New York In Required Effort To Avoid Trial

    Wednesday, February 11, 2026

Actor Blake Lively and director Justin Baldoni came to a New York courthouse on Wednesday to see if her lawsuit alleging sexual harassment on the set of the 2024 romantic drama "It Ends With Us" could be settled before a May trial. The talks between lawyers went on over a six-hour period before Lively and Baldoni left the Manhattan federal courthouse separately and went straight to their waiting cars without saying anything. Lively looked stern as she walked out while Baldoni was smiling. Baldoni's attorney Bryan Freedman said in an email that the talks did not result in a settlement. Mandatory settlement talks are generally required before a civil case proceeds to trial. They are not held in public. Their acrimonious yearlong litigation has cast a wide net across the entertainment world, drawing into the headlines other actors, musicians and celebrities and raising questions about the power, influence and gender dynamics in Hollywood. Lively sued Baldoni and his hired crisis communications expert alleging harassment and a coordinated campaign to attack her reputation after she complained about his treatment of her on the movie set. Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios production company countersued Lively and her husband, "Deadpool" actor Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and extortion. Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed that suit last June. The trial, scheduled for May 18, was expected to be star-studded. Lively's legal team had indicated in court papers that people likely to have information about the case included singer Taylor Swift, model Gigi Hadid, actors Emily Blunt, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Hugh Jackman, influencer Candace Owens, media personality Perez Hilton and designer Ashley Avignone.
