Yann Henric has joined bicoastal Sinners and Saints as partner/executive producer. Henric’s first project at his new roost recently wrapped production in Chile; directed by Remy Cayuela, the Robitussin/Theraflu assignment was created by Publicis Cast, Grey New York and Grey Buenos Aires.
A French exec producer, Henric has worked in Paris, Miami, New York and Los Angeles, bringing extensive experience to Sinners and Saints’ branded content division. In France, Henric began at IRENE 75 and was thrown into the deep end as a line producer, quickly gaining experience on both the production and agency sides, for Fred & Farid and Konbini, among others. In Miami, he serviced productions for French brands like Calvin Klein, Dior, Yves Rocher, Ubisoft, and Peugeot.
“Yann’s proficiency in physical production is exceeded only by his innate ability to relate to talent behind the camera. We also share a history of working with a lot of French clients, and the international twist is very apt,” said managing director Heather Heller who oversees Sinners and Saints, a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) which has worked with a host of brands and agencies including Smirnoff, L’Oreal, FCB, GSD&M and McCann.
“Heather and I have a synergy and shared vision that is very organic,” said Henric, who has produced several short films, and an independent feature film, in addition to his work in the branded space. “Coming on board at Sinners and Saints, I can bring the full spectrum of my experience to bear. Plus, Heather prefers action to talk, which is something else we share.”
In addition to Heller and Henric, the Sinners and Saints leadership team includes exec producer Aaron Kaufman (Robert Rodriguez’s longtime collaborator at Troublemaker Studios) and feature EP Thomas Carroll, who is currently overseeing four films in various stages of development. The updated company website now divides talent into rostered directors, and feature filmmakers like Francis Lawrence and Lisa Joy, who are available on assignment.
The Sinners and Saints roster comprises directors Cayuela, Jessy Terrero, Adrien Galo, Steve Pink, Julien Rocher, Arnaud Deroudilhe, Ivo Wejgaard, Lado Kvataniya, and Jean Claude Thibaut. The latter recently directed work for Huawei shot on location in China–for which Sinners and Saints collaborated with Red Horse Film. On the longform front, Sinners and Saints saw its Superpower–directed by EP Kaufman and Sean Penn–garner a recent nomination for a News & Documentary Emmy as Outstanding Politics and Government Documentary.
Sinners and Saints has partnered with Lux Angeles Studios and is now situated in a sprawling 40,000-square-foot space with full capabilities for production through post. Sinners and Saints is represented by Lisa Gimenez Toliver and Deirdre Rimer on the West Coast and Latin America, Carl Forsberg and Justin Lasoff of Apostle NY on the East Coast, and Helen Gardiner in Europe.
Sean “Diddy” Combs Is Arrested In NY After Federal Indictment
Sean "Diddy" Combs, the hip-hop mogul who has faced a stream of allegations by women accusing him of sexual assault, was arrested late Monday in New York after he was indicted by a federal grand jury.
The indictment was sealed and details of the charges weren't immediately announced by prosecutors, but the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, Damian Williams, confirmed in a statement that federal agents had Combs in custody.
"We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time," Williams said in a statement.
Combs was arrested in a Manhattan hotel lobby, according to a person familiar with the arrest who spoke with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said Combs had been cooperating with the investigation and had relocated to New York last week in anticipation of charges being brought.
"We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office," Agnifilo said, describing his client as a music icon and a "loving family man."
"He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal," Agnifilo said in a statement, adding "Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court."
The criminal charges are a major but not unexpected takedown of one of the most prominent producers and most famous names in the history of hip-hop.
The federal investigation of Combs, 58, was revealed when Homeland Security Investigations agents served simultaneous search warrants and raided Combs' mansions in Los Angeles and Miami... Read More
