Director Harry Cauty–whose body of work spans commercials, music videos and films–has signed with production company Rattling Stick and its Rattling Stuff arm for U.K. representation. Rattling Stuff is geared towards more competitive budgets, innovating within those parameters. Cauty’s films for brands including BBC, Guinness, Adidas and EA Sports are fun and contemporary with stand-out casting, surreal VFX and dry-comedy performances, featuring many music and sports personalities including Ian Wright, Anthony Joshua, Leah Williamson and Bakar. Before commercials Cauty cut his teeth in short films and music videos for U.K. artists including Big Zuu and Lady Leshurr….

London-based production studio KODE Media has added directorial duo Miles and AJ to its roster for U.K. representation spanning commercials, music promos and long-form content. After a chance encounter, editor Miles and creative script writer AJ quickly discovered a shared passion for filmmaking, reconnecting a year later to form their directorial partnership. The pair seamlessly blend Miles’ visual mindset, Unreal Engine and editorial talents alongside AJ’s wordsmithery and strategic mind in their offering. In their two years since entering the commercial space, Miles and AJ have turned out work for brands including Turo, Samsung, and most recently, Coca-Cola. The duo’s commercial success came as a result of their work for global musicians including the promo for Doja Cat’s otherworldly “Need to Know,” which saw the singer reach cosmic dimensions as virtual reality meets outer-space futurism. To top it off, the directors also crafted work for 21 piløts and megastar Billie Eilish. Miles’ passion for Unreal Engine and CG technology is evident in the duo’s extensive work for clients including Toyota and Alfa Romeo. Miles and AJ continue to be repped in the U.S. by SixTwentySix….

Director Brent Foster has joined Toronto-based Partners Film for representation in Canada. He continues to be repped in the U.S. market by Voyager. Prior to coming aboard the Partners’ roster, Foster was repped in Canada by Scouts Honour. His most recent projects include CAMH’s ambitious brand spot “No One Left Behind,” as well as work for clients as varied as SickKids, Canada Life, KIA Canada, and Huawei. His non-commercial projects include the documentary Enough, about a woman fighting back against violence in one of Nairobi’s most notorious slums. Foster’s work has already received kudos, including a young director award at Cannes, as well as recognition from the Clios, ADCC, and Marketing Awards. His career has taken him as far afield as Los Angeles, where he was a photojournalist for the Los Angeles Times; and India, where he worked as a freelancer for media outlets including The New York Times….

L.A.-based production studio Lord Danger has brought Anthony Ficalora on board as executive producer. He formerly served as EP at Picrow and prior to that, Gifted Youth. Ficalora has worked with such clients as Skittles, Snickers, Little Caesars and Honda, among others. He also brings expertise across genres and industries from comedy and automotive to lifestyle and documentary. At Lord Danger, Ficalora will work with a directorial roster that includes Mike Diva, Lawrence Lamont, Parker Seaman, MP Curtet, Amr Singh, and Steven Taylor….

“Send Help” Remains Atop Box Office, “Melania” Plummets On A Quiet Weekend In Theaters

    Sunday, February 8, 2026

Hollywood largely ceded attention to football over a slow box-office weekend, with the survival thriller "Send Help" repeating as No. 1 in ticket sales and the Melania Trump documentary "Melania" falling sharply in its second weekend.

Super Bowl weekend is typically one of the lowest attended moviegoing times of the year. It was the second slowest weekend last year and in 2024 it ranked dead last for moviegoing.

Studios instead put their focus on advertising movies for the massive television audience. Among the trailers expected to hit the NFL broadcast Sunday were The Walt Disney Co.'s "Mandalorian and Grogu," Lionsgate's Michael Jackson biopic, "Michael" and Universal Pictures' "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie."

In North American theaters, the Disney.-20th Century Studios release "Send Help," directed by Sam Raimi, lead all films with $10 million in its second weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday. With $53.7 million globally thus far, the R-rated survival thriller has proved a solid midbudget success. Disney meanwhile watched its remarkably long-lasting "Zootopia 2" cross $1.8 billion worldwide in its 11th week of release.

"Melania," from Amazon MGM, added 300 theaters in its second weekend but dropped steeply to $2.4 million in ticket sales, down 67% from its much-discussed debut. The rapid downturn means the Brett Ratner-directed documentary is likely heading toward flop territory given its high price tag. Amazon MGM paid $40 million for film rights, plus some $35 million to market it.

The North American total for "Melania" stands at $13.4 million. Amazon MGM has not released international figures, though they're expected to be paltry.

Kevin Wilson, head of domestic distribution for the studio, said the movie's... Read More
