    Special Awards announced for the 2026 One Show

    VML New York named 2026 Agency of the Year; Whitecoat Singapore earns Production Company of the Year distinction

    NEW YORK --

    Publicis Conseil Paris capped off a strong performance at The One Show 2026, winning Best of Show for “Three Words” on behalf of AXA.

    The work, created with Prodigious Paris and Publicis Consultants Paris, was also awarded Best of Discipline in Health & Wellness, a Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Pencil, four Golds, one Silver, and one Merit.

    Another top winner this year was Ogilvy Singapore, working with Ogilvy South Africa Cape Town, Ogilvy UK London and Ogilvy New York, for “Vaseline Verified” on behalf of Vaseline. The work picked up Best of Discipline wins in Creator Content, Direct Marketing, and Public Relations, the inaugural Best Use of TikTok award, the Creative Marketer Pencil, nine Golds, two Silver, and one Merit.

    Three agencies had two 2026 One Show Best of Discipline wins each.

    Grey México México City, working with Oriental Films México México City, was awarded Best of Discipline wins in Film & Video and Music & Sound Craft for “The Shooting” on behalf of La Unión newspaper and Articulo 19.

    Serviceplan Germany Munich was presented with Best of Discipline awards in Creative Use of Data for “Breastmilk Money” on behalf of Herconomy, and in Experiential & Immersive for Grindr’s “I Wool Survive.”

    Best of Discipline wins in both Integrated/Omnichannel and Social Media went to adam&eve\TBWA London, working with SMUGGLER, for “Expedition Impossible” on behalf of Columbia Sportswear.

    Top honorees in the 2026 One Show, based upon cumulative scores for all awards won across all disciplines, are as follows.

    The One Show 2026 Special Awards

    The first One Show Members Choice winner, based on a vote of The One Club membership of this year’s top winners, was Mother London with Biscuit Filmworks London and Edelman New York “A Time And A Place” for Anthropic.

    The first One Show Best Use of TikTok award went to Ogilvy Singapore with Ogilvy South Africa Cape Town, Ogilvy UK London and Ogilvy New York “Vaseline Verified” for Vaseline.

    The One Show 2026 AI Pioneer awards, recognizing the agency, brand, and individual who are most effectively pushing the boundaries of AI and creativity, were awarded as follows:

    –Organization AI Pioneer: Code and Theory New York “Welcome to the Golden Age of Creativity”, and R/GA “Make Things That Make Things” (tie).
    –Brand AI Pioneer: R/GA Argentina Buenos Aires and NotCo “Meet Giuseppe” for NotCo.

     

    The One Show 2026 Creative Marketer Pencil, honoring the senior brand leader behind award-winning work that elevated creativity as a core priority for the brand, was awarded to:

    –Leandro Barreto for “Vaseline Verified” on behalf of Vaseline, by Ogilvy Singapore with Ogilvy South Africa Cape Town, Ogilvy UK London and Ogilvy New York
    –Ano Gogichadze for “Birds Never Forget To Fly” on behalf of PSP, by Playmakers Tbilisi with Enkeny Films Tbilisi and Heima Production Tbilisi

    The One Show 2026 Penta Pencil, awarded to the agency and brand who together have created outstanding creative work for the last five years, went to TBWA\Media Arts Lab Los Angeles and Apple for “A Decade of Partnership and Trust”.

    The One Show 2026 Best of Non-Profit went to:

    –FCB Canada (TBWACanada) Toronto “The Count” for SickKids Foundation
    –INNOCEAN Berlin with Buzzwoo Berlin and DaHouse Audio Los Angeles “Bedtime Donations” for Royal Society for Blind Children

     

    The One Show 2026 Fusion Pencil, the industry’s first global award to recognize great work that best incorporates DEI principles and underrepresented groups in both the creative content of the work and the team that made it, went to Motion Sickness Auckland with Liquid Studios and Loupe “The Māori Roll Call” for Whānau Ora.

    The One Show 2026 Green Pencil, recognizing the most environmentally conscious creative work for the year, was awarded to Grey Thailand Bangkok with Chubcheevit Studio Bangkok and Visionary Group Co,. Ltd. Bangkok “Fertilizer 2.5” for Thai Health Promotion Foundation.

     

    The One Show 2026 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Pencil, created in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Partnerships and nonprofit PVBLIC Foundation to reward agencies and brands for work that betters the world and contributes to securing a sustainable future for all, went to:

    –Publicis Conseil Paris with Prodigious Paris and Publicis Consultants Paris “Three Words” for AXA
    –Motion Sickness Auckland with Liquid Studios and Loupe “The Māori Roll Call” for Whānau Ora.

    Entries were received from 69 countries this year. The esteemed 2026 One Show global jury awarded agencies, studios, brands, production companies, and designers in 57 countries with 132 Gold Pencils, 162 Silvers, 296 Bronze, and 747 Merits.

    For the second year in a row, host of The One Show awards ceremony was comedian and actor Leslie Jones, a three-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee known for her standup, film work, and time as a cast member and writer on “Saturday Night Live.”

    The One Show 2025 Global Creative Rankings will be announced on May 18, 2026.

    Ewan McGregor and Danny Boyle Reflect On The Life-Changing Film “Trainspotting”

    Ewan McGregor, for a fleeting moment after "Trainspotting" came out, felt like a rock star. It wasn't his first significant project; it wasn't even his first film with director Danny Boyle. And he was, in his words, fairly arrogant and cocksure at the time. But that kinetic film about four heroin addicts in late-1980s Scotland was and, 30 years later, remains defining — in his career, in the culture and in his understanding of what true artistic satisfaction can feel like. "It's very much in that early part of my career, and of course, even today, probably the most important piece of work that I was involved in, just because it had such a massive effect on my life. Not only because of what it did, but because of how it felt to make," McGregor told The Associated Press in a recent interview. "It set the bar unknowingly high because it's been quite hard to match ever since." Both McGregor and Boyle are a little wistful about the time, and what they made, as the film marks its 30th anniversary re-release. A 4K digital restoration started in theaters nationwide on Friday (6/5). Though "Trainspotting" was very much of its moment with its Britpop soundtrack, its Thatcher-era grit, its darkly comedic tone and shrewd blend of giddy highs and tragic lows, it's also one that has stood the unforgiving test of time. "You get kids coming up to you who are 17 who said they'd just seen it," Boyle said. "I could be their grandfather … yet it still spoke to them."
