Harold Einstein of Station Film directed this spot which shows a man so obsessed with watching live sports on his mobile device that when he steps outside to pick up the delivered newspaper off his front lawn, he’s oblivious to the fact that a cougar has walked through the front door into his house.
Next we see the guy–wounded but still watching sports–being carried out on a stretcher into an ambulance. Unfortunately the paramedics too are watching live sports on their smartphones and don’t notice when their patient rolls away.
Turns out even the athletes being watched on mobile screens are also watching their own game via smartphone.
The premise of the campaign–which also includes the spots “Sports Dog” and “Mattress”–is simple: “When you have the most live sports, all you want to do is watch live sports.”
The campaign highlights XFINITY’s offering of faster Internet, 24-hour sports coverage and multiple-device compatibility. Agency is Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco.
