SHOOT 1st Quarter 2021 Top Ten Music Tracks Chart
Super Bowl commercials are prevalent in the first quarterly Top Ten Tracks Chart of 2021, starting with the #1 entry, Anheuser-Busch/InBev's "Let's Grab A Beer," executive produced by David Fincher and directed by Adam Hashemi of production house RESET for Wieden+Kennedy, Portland, Ore. Fincher's music and sound compatriots--on both features and commercials--put their stamp on the spot, including composer Atticus Ross of music/sound house Barking Owl, and sound designer Ren Klyce. Ross and Klyce are both nominated for Oscars this year for their contributions to Fincher's Mank. (Ross also has a second nom this year for Soul ).
"Let's Grab A Beer" is one of seven Super Sunday commercials to earn inclusion into SHOOT's Q1 chart; the others being Cheetos' "It Wasn't Me," Cadillac LYRIQ's "Scissorhands Free," Toyota's "Upstrea," Rocket Mortgage's "Certain Is Better," The Boston Beer Company/Samuel Adams Wicked's "Horses," and Paramount+'s "Sweet Victory."
