October 23, 2014    Director Tim Godsall, formerly of Biscuit Filmworks, has joined Anonymous Content for commercial representation in the U.S., U.K. and Europe. The signing grew out of a relationship that developed while Anonymous produced Godsall’s upcoming feature film debut, Len and Company.... McCann Worldgroup has promoted Adrian Botan to the role of global executive creative director for its worldwide Nestlé account. Botan joins three other global executive creative directors—James Dawson-Hollis, Bill Wright and John Mescall—in developing creative work for the agency’s largest global clients. Botan will continue to serve as creative chairman of McCann Bucharest..... Production house Sandwick has signed the Italian directing duo of Tommaso Bertè and Paolo Borgato for representation in the U.S. Known for their work as visual storytellers, Borgato and Bertè have been working extensively in Europe for the past several years, during which time they’ve directed commercials for clients in such categories ranging from automotive to fashion to technology and finance. They made their debut with an emotional Italian PSA for Save the Children. A year later, their spot for the European apparel label Freddy titled “Human Machine”--a pastiche of attractive young people doing a variety of parkour-like moves on a set made of unusual sculptures and devices--propelled them into the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase..... Bicoastal integrated content studio humble has added David Rosenbaum to its directorial roster. Known for his technical savvy and skill at blending live action and CG, Rosenbaum joins humble from Caviar, where he wrote and directed sci-fi short film The Trail’s End which recently premiered at the LA Shorts Fest.....

October 22, 2009    The Association of Independent Commercial Producers’ new digital production chapter, AICP Digital, has set its inaugural board under newly named president Ed Ulbrich who is executive VP of Digital Domain and president of that studio’s commercial division. AICP Digital board members are: chapter VP Justin Booth-Clibborn of Psyop; Paul Babb of Rhythm + Hues; Jake Banks of Stardust; Kevin Batten of Superfad; Javier Jimenez of Motion Theory; Chip Houghton of Imaginary Forces; Elizabeth Kiehner of Thornberg & Forester; Jason Mayo of Click 3X; and Danny Rosenbloom of Brand New School.....Guillermo Arriaga--an Academy Award-nominated writer (Babel) who recently made his feature film directing debut with the critically acclaimed The Burning Plain starring Charlize Theron, Kim Basinger and Jennifer Lawrence--has come aboard the roster of Independent Media, a Santa Monica-based production house that is well known for handling noted feature filmmakers for select commercials and branded content assignments..... Directors Zack Resnicoff and J.C. Khoury--who made their first mark in the industry as the team Zack & J.C.--are each embarking on solo helming careers. Resnicoff has exited Lost Highway Films while Khoury is staying on board that New York-based company’s roster for commercials and branded content. At press time, Khoury noted that he and Resnicoff recently co-directed what will likely be their last commercialmaking assignment together, a four-spot comedy campaign for The Washington Post out of D.C. agency Adworks....Bicoastal Nomad Editing Company has brought editor Mike Coletta aboard its roster. Coletta has already wrapped a job out of Nomad’s N.Y. office: a TD Bank project for Tierney Communications. Prior to joining Nomad, Coletta was most recently on staff at 89 Editorial....
