The AICP Awards is going back on the road for the first time since 2019 as it kicks off its 2022 national tour in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 28. The live, in-person event will take place at The Belasco, the historic event space in downtown L.A. The presentation kicks off with a happy hour, with the program to follow. A gala reception will close out the evening’s activities. 

Curators from each AICP Awards competition--the AICP Next Awards, the AICP Post Awards and the AICP Show--will be on hand to discuss the winning work, offer insights into the decision-making process that went into its selection and address ongoing trends in the industry.

“We’re beyond excited to be bringing the AICP Awards back to Los Angeles, particularly after the enormous success of our AICP Week events in New York last month,” said AICP CEO Matt Miller. “As we kick off our national tour, we’re delighted to be able to share our winners and some great observations on the judging process with our member and industry guests around the country.”

Taking part in the L.A. presentation will be Yvette Cobarrubias, 2022 AICP Post Awards chairperson and co-founder and managing partner of Cosmo Street; Scott Donaton, 2022 AICP Next Awards judging chair and SVP, head of marketing for Hulu; and Mal Ward, 2022 AICP Show chairperson and managing director/partner of Arts & Sciences.

Also participating will be Ali Brown, AICP Show Curatorial Committee member, past AICP Show chairperson and president of PRETTYBIRD; Melany Esfeld, AICP Post Awards curator and SVP, head of integrated production at Barkley; Tatiana Holifield, AICP Next Awards curator and VP, digital content & audience engagement for SiriusXM/Pandora; Erika Madison, AICP Show curator and head of production at Anomaly LA; Brandon Porter, AICP Post Awards curator and partner/editor at Nomad Editing Co.; and Shannon Pruitt, AICP Next Awards curator and global chief content officer at Stagwell Media Network.
