BBH USA has made 11 creative hires, including group creative directors Gary Van Dzura and Adolfo Alcala along with creative directors Valeria Vanzulli, Francesca Bonomi, Amy Travis, Alex Sprouse and Matt Vitou.
Van Dzura was a creative director at Wieden+Kennedy for over 12 years where he developed award-winning creative for FOX Sports, Jordan, Sprite, ESPN, Duracell, Bud Light, Equinox and more. Alcala previously served as a creative director at 72andSunny.
Vanzulli, formerly with JOAN Creative, had held creative positions at Observatory, CAA, TBWA\Chiat\Day and Publicis Milan. Bonomi, also previously with JOAN, partnered with Vanzulli, earlier serving at Observatory, CAA, TBWA\Chiat\Day and Publicis Milan.
Travis is an L.A.-based creative director who’s been a copywriter at several agencies including Pereira & O’Dell, BBDO San Francisco and R/GA.
Sprouse was the creative behind Burger King’s lauded “Whopper Detour” campaign. His prior role was creative director at the nonprofit Potential Energy Coalition.
Vitou was previously associate creative director at Lyft, and held copywriter positions at Droga5, 72andSunny and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Also coming aboard BBH USA are associate creative director Bobby Selby, sr. art director Jack Hwang, jr. art director Sofia Coelho, and jr. copywriter Isabella Ciardelli.
Selby, previously with VaynerMedia, has turned out work recognized by the Clios and The One Show.
Hwang joins from Forsman & Bodenfors where he was a creative.
Coelho was an art direction intern at Ogilvy, and has worked for VICE Media in Austria and Par Mais in Brazil.
Ciardelli previously held a copywriting residency at TBWA\Media Arts Lab and a copywriting fellowship at Swift Agency.
These 11 new hires follow the recent promotions of president Amani Duncan, chief creative officer Rafael Rizuto and chief strategy officer Tom Callard who now oversee BBH USA, which includes the New York and Los Angeles offices, as well as BBH Entertainment.
