Phillip Montgomery has joined the Farm League roster for film and commercial representation in the U.S. His credits include commercial campaigns (P&G, Guinness, Google, Jack Daniel’s, Uber), shorts and music videos. Montgomery’s body of work spans the documentary and narrative genres.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul native graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and first broke through in 2013 when he earned a slot in SHOOT’s New Directors Showcase for his web film, Raising an Olympian--Henry Cejudo, which was part of the ambitious P&G “Thank you, Mom” campaign. That P&G documentary work also garnered a Cannes New Director Award. Montgomery has since gone on to receive Cannes Silver and Bronze Lions, among other honors, as well as accolades for his narrative work.

“Phillip is an amazing director who thoughtfully elevates both the visual and narrative aspects of the stories he tells,” said Farm League owner/executive producer Tim Lynch (TL) who went on to relate, “Phil’s experience and passion for ideating on a brief or writing his own scripts gives him a unique ability to create the work he wants to make and films he truly believes in.”

Montgomery joins Farm League as it celebrates its 10th anniversary with work in the commercial, branded and documentary spaces for clients including Guinness, Nike, Ford, Patagonia and YETI.

“I’ve followed Farm League for quite some time and I’m a big fan of many directors on their roster. Needless to say, it was a no brainer when presented with the opportunity to join,” Montgomery said.

Montgomery, who was previously represented by Tool, most recently directed a miniseries for The History Channel airing in 2021 and the short film Big Boy Pants, which premiered as a Vimeo Staff Pick. He also wrote, directed, and produced several COVID-era productions, including the short film The Things We Miss and the anthemic “We’re Back” for Sanctuary Fitness.
