Pulse Films has signed director KLVDR to its roster for commercials and music videos globally. The Zimbabwean-born, U.K.-based KLVDR has created visuals for the likes of Stormzy, J Hus, Wiley and Giggs as well as for such brands as Beats by Dre, Footlocker and the NBA. KLVDR also directed the visuals for Krept & Konan’s 2018 U.K. shows which led on to further collaborations with buzzed-about artists like MØ.
KLVDR has kicked off his tenure at Pulse with “One Night Only,” a music video for Mahalia. The director described the clip as “a step in a new direction for me. It explores the different perspective of how women are judged by one night stands; I wanted this to feel amplified but not taboo nor demoralizing.”
KLVDR--whose music video sales rep in the U.K. continues to be Marisa Garner Associates--said of Pulse, “I’ve been a fan of their work for many years; to work with a team like this is an honor.”
Rik Green, head of music videos at Pulse, said, “KLVDR is an exceptional talent and someone we have long admired. His passion, craft and creative output makes him a perfect fit for our studio’s roster.” Green added that “One Night Only” is “one of many projects we have lined up which we’re excited to share with the world.”
