Havas Group has acquired Battery, a culture-driven creative agency based in Los Angeles with a specialized focus on gaming, television, movies and streaming TV services. Battery will become part of the Annex, Havas-Vivendi’s shared fast-growing network designed to help brands tap into digital and millennial culture. Battery will be renamed Battery Annex. This gives the Annex a larger presence in the L.A. creative community and enhances its capabilities around gaming and streaming entertainment. Battery Annex brings an understanding of Hollywood marketing to both Havas and Vivendi, providing more opportunity to create and deliver cutting-edge content and meaningful brand experiences as consultants of culture. The Annex is also growing thorugh the launch of Annex Bastille where cultural influencers from Havas and from the broader Vivendi environment will bring their expertise to brands.....

Senior editor Rebecca Luff has joined Cut+Run London and hit the ground running with the latest Walkers spot featuring the Spice Girls, directed by MJ Delaney for AMV BBDO. Her credits span such brands as Volkswagen, Lloyds, Waitrose and Samsung. Luff’s music video endeavors include hir first clip in 2008 for Johnny Foreigner’s “Salt, Pepper & Spinderella,” which earned a best editor nomination at the UKMVAs.....

Alanna Homuth has joined Toronto-based Rooster Post as producer. Homuth began her career in postproduction seven years ago when she joined Alter Ego, where she assisted post artists Eric Whipp, Wade Odlum, Conor Fisher and Tricia Hagoriles. During this time, she developed a love for color and all of its intricacies, and began working toward becoming a producer. As her producing career took flight, she sought out new opportunities to learn about online/vfx and began producing both color and online for work on Tim Horton’s, Shoppers Drug Mart, The Keg, Loblaws and more....
