This week Twitter began testing a “Buy” button for shopping that lets some of its users make purchases or donate money to charities. Facebook started testing its own “Buy” button in July. What’s your take on the viability of “Buy” buttons?

It’s the future. “Buy” buttons will gain prominence and be utilized universally.

“Buy” buttons will muster some momentum but fall far short of being the next big thing.

Facebook, with 1.3 billion users, will be more successful with the “Buy” button than Twitter, which has some 271 million users.

The “Buy” button is more applicable to Twitter than Facebook. Twitter will ultimately have more success with the “Buy” option.

It’s a gimmick that will ultimately fail to catch on.
