Global production company Sweetshop has named J. Patrick McElroy as its U.S. executive producer. He will lead all of Sweetshop’s U.S. projects, with production teams based in New York and Los Angeles. 

McElroy began his career at pioneering documentarian Albert Maysles’ production company. McElroy later moved to Los Angeles, becoming producer at Spotwelders where he helped launch the company’s VFX branch, Shipping + Handling. Most recently in 2014, he moved to RadicalMedia in New York, successfully leading the company’s sales force on the East Coast.
