From the most granular interpersonal exchanges at home to interplanetary communications during a mission in space, this anthemic spot for Cisco - created via The Hatch, Cisco’s internal agency, and edited by Union’s Karen Kourtessis - opens our eyes to the endless possibilities of a connected world. Titled “Bridge to Possible,” the ad seamlessly braids imagery and voiceover to deliver a narrative about technology, ecology, inclusivity, and opportunity for all, in just over a minute.

“The creative team had such a great board and idea,” Kourtessis recalls, “and along with The Hatch and the producers from Cisco, we embarked on a pretty intense 6-week team effort to find really special imagery to tell this story.”

In addition to Kourtessis, the team at Union Editorial NY included Assistant Editor Ben White, Graphics Creative Director Chris Bialkowski, VFX Artist Junsik Na, GFX Producer Tim Veirling, EP Melissa Lubin, and Partner/Managing Director Caryn Maclean.

Recent work edited by Kourtessis includes: a campaign from Cotton Inc. and fashion brand The Great: created via DDB New York, directed by Kat Keene, and produced by Caviar ahead of National Women’s History Month 2020, “Rosie Reborn” is inspired by the iconic WWII icon Rosie the Riveter, to honor the strides women have made in the workforce over the past 75 years pairing the strength and durability of authentic cotton denim; and the Pillsbury doc “Welcome Home” (created via Pereira O’Dell, directed by Ritesh Gupta of Search & Destroy), which follows a member of a US military family returning to civilian life with the help of the brand’s Operation Homefront.

Distinguished by powerfully effective storytelling - regardless of the genre - Kourtessis’ commercial projects have consistently garnered acclaim, including Clios, Cannes Lions, and an EMMY nomination, among other honors. Her body of work also comprises music videos, award-winning shorts and documentaries.
