Ignasi Tudela has joined Arts & Letters Creative Co. as creative director. An award-winning creator, art director, designer and writer with over 18 years global experience in both traditional and digital media, Tudela was most recently global creative director at Polaroid in Amsterdam. In his new role with Arts & Letters, he will work on Google and soon-to-be-announced new business, and will report to agency founder and executive creative director Charles Hodges.

Hodges said of Tudela, “The level of craft in his work speaks for itself and his natural talent for leading teams and unlocking the potential of those around him will be a positive influence  on both our business and our clients’ businesses. The conceptual rigor that he honed in his time at Wieden+Kennedy and the strategic ambassadorship that he developed while building Polaroid’s internal creative group will be a welcomed addition to the challenger mindset and collective entrepreneurial spirit that has come to define many leaders of Arts & Letters.”

Tudela’s creative career has spanned numerous global brands across multiple markets around the world, including Nike, Coca-Cola, Electronic Arts (EA), Heineken, Airbnb, Lego, Glenlivet, Tanqueray, Corona, BMW and BASF. His work has been recognized by Cannes, The One Show, D&AD, Eurobest, Clios, El Sol, FWA, Webby’s, AICP, ITC, Spin Awards, The Red Apple, Laus, Epica and ADC*E.

As global creative director at Polaroid, Tudela has been working to drive the brand’s growth and creative transformation from a legacy camera company to a born-again digital startup. Over the last two years, he has built and established the brand’s internal creative agency, while also spearheading all visual communications, from packaging design to trade and advertising. Prior to joining Polaroid, Tudela spent nearly 12 years at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam where he was creative director.

Notable campaigns include the recent Polaroid rebrand and brand repositioning, creating an interactive life-size avatar for EA Fifa, the relaunch of Need for Speed, one of the first pro-feminist campaigns for Nike women--the Real Girls of Moscow,  and working with a team to build and brand the only community indoor skatepark in Amsterdam called Noord.

Originally from Spain, Tudela began his career as a junior digital designer and art director at the digital shop HerraizSoto&Co. in Barcelona.

Tudela said of his new Arts & Letters roost, “It’s young, fresh, and fiercely independent, with incredible momentum, all surrounded by an amazing community that elevates the best of each other. I’m looking forward to collaborating with all of the amazing teams, exciting clients and helping to write an amazing chapter of such a special place during such a unique time.”
