Copacino Fujikado, the Seattle-based independent agency, has appointed Ellie Caldwell as head of strategy, a newly created role.
Caldwell will set the agency’s strategic vision, guide a team of brand and communications strategists, and serve as the senior strategic advisor across client partnerships and new business.
She joins after more than a decade of agency and brand strategy experience, most recently serving as VP, strategy director at Razorfish, where she led creative and digital strategy for USAA Life Insurance, Investments, and the USAA Insurance Agency.

Prior to Razorfish, Caldwell was VP, strategy director at Leo Burnett, where she served as global brand strategy lead for BofA Securities and the Bank of America Institute, and led creative strategy campaigns for Kashi.
Earlier in her career, Caldwell built her strategic foundation across Deutsch LA, Pereira O’Dell, and Edelman, and as an independent strategist worked with brands including Walmart, Fifth Third Bank, the Ad Council, Adobe, Electronic Arts, and AppleTV.
