Dan Maloney has joined the curated roster of editors at bicoastal house The Den.
“As brands lean harder into humor that actually lands, it’s a natural moment for us to bring Dan’s voice into the fold,” remarked LauRenn Reed, executive producer of The Den NY. “He’s a top-tier comedy editor and an incredible complement to our roster.”
Maloney, formerly repped by Nomad, has edited memorable commercials with top comedy directors–The Perlorian Brothers, Tom Kuntz, and Jess Coulter, to name a few, for brands including KAYAK, DoorDash, and FedEx. Endlessly adaptable, he has also cut more traditional films for brands like Ring and Etsy, as well as documentary-style spots for Jim Beam, Lincoln Motor Company, Visa, and Verizon.
Award-winning editor Maloney said, “Postproduction is a small world, and I’ve been a fan of the work coming out of The Den for a long time. When I heard they were expanding in New York, I was excited by the prospect of joining a team led by people I’ve known and respected for many years—it’s such a great group.”
