    MARINA DEL REY, Calif. --

Model Citizen Creative–a music and sound company specializing in custom music, catalogue licensing, sound design, music editorial, trailer albums and final mix–has added to its leadership team with the hiring of Kristina Iwankiw as executive producer.

She brings more than two decades of experience to her new roost. Iwankiw began her career at HUM Music before moving into the executive producer role at Stimmüng. Most recently, she served as head of production at The Elements Music, where she spent five years leading the production department and overseeing a wide range of music and sound design projects.

Iwankiw has collaborated with top creative agencies and brands, helping shape original compositions, sound design, and broader audio strategies for the likes of Google, Nike, Visa, Coca-Cola, Honda, Gatorade, ESPN, and many more. Her work has earned industry recognition from the Clios, AICP, AMP Awards, Effies, and London International Awards.

Rejoining former colleague and Model Citizen founder Rory Doggett was a full-circle moment for Iwankiw. “There’s a real sense of creative momentum here, and I’m thrilled to be part of it,” she said. “Rory and I go way back, so stepping into this role with him at the helm feels both natural and energizing.”

Raphael Saadiq and Robin Kaye named Guild of Music Supervisors’ Icon and Legacy Award Winners, Respectively

    Friday, February 6, 2026

The Guild of Music Supervisors has named their honorees for the 16th Annual Icon Award and the Legacy Award. Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, the Academy Award-nominated Raphael Saadiq, will receive the Icon Award which was created to celebrate those who have made legendary contributions to the music and film industry. Previous recipients of the Icon Award include Quincy Jones, Burt Bacharach, Kenny Loggins, Marc Shaiman, and Stephen Schwartz.

Saadiq--who is currently up for an Oscar for co-writing ((with Ludwig Göransson) the original song “I Lied to You” for Sinners--commented, “I am honored to be the recipient of this year’s Icon Award. Music plays such an important role in how stories are told on screen and I have always believed in the power of music to deepen emotion and connect people to the story. To be recognized by a community that celebrates the important relationship between music and cinematic story telling means a lot to me.”

Lindsay Wolfington, president of the Guild of Music Supervisors, said of Saadiq: “We are very excited to honor someone whose reach has touched so many parts of the music and media industries; Raphael Saadiq’s contributions as an artist, songwriter, producer and composer for visual media truly define what we celebrate with the GMS Icon Award.”

The recipient of the Guild of Music Supervisors’ Legacy Award this year is the late Robin Kaye, former VP of the Guild and a highly respected figure in the music supervision community. The Legacy Award is presented to a music supervisor who has made a lasting impact on the industry over the course of their career.
