    LOS ANGELES --

Picture Shop is integrating Formosa Group’s Toronto sound business into its creative post services, effective Jan 1, 2026. This strategic move unites two industry-leading postproduction teams to better serve Toronto clients and establish a fully integrated hub for world-class picture and sound services for feature films and television.

With this integration, the creative excellence for which Formosa Group is known will continue under the Picture Shop name, reinforcing a shared commitment to artistry, innovation, and outstanding client experience. Formosa Group will continue to service clients across its other locations globally.

Managing director Jane Tattersall will continue to lead Picture Shop’s Toronto based operations, ensuring continuity, excellence, and creative leadership through this new chapter.

“By merging Formosa Group’s esteemed Toronto team into Picture Shop, clients can access industry-leading artists and an integrated full-service offering–editorial, color, VFX, sound–in one facility,” said Bill Romeo, CEO and founder of Picture Shop. “Under Jane’s leadership, we’re excited to better position ourselves for our valued clients in Toronto.”

The integration aligns with the company’s upcoming relocation to Toronto’s newest state-of-the-art facility in the downtown area. With the just-opened editing suites and color grading, and the seven mix stages and ADR studio going online in the coming weeks, the facility will be the home for the city’s top talent, and support advanced picture and sound postproduction, all in a collaborative, inclusive environment for both artists and clients.

Raphael Saadiq and Robin Kaye named Guild of Music Supervisors’ Icon and Legacy Award Winners, Respectively

    Friday, February 6, 2026

The Guild of Music Supervisors has named their honorees for the 16th Annual Icon Award and the Legacy Award. Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, the Academy Award-nominated Raphael Saadiq, will receive the Icon Award which was created to celebrate those who have made legendary contributions to the music and film industry. Previous recipients of the Icon Award include Quincy Jones, Burt Bacharach, Kenny Loggins, Marc Shaiman, and Stephen Schwartz.

Saadiq--who is currently up for an Oscar for co-writing ((with Ludwig Göransson) the original song “I Lied to You” for Sinners--commented, “I am honored to be the recipient of this year’s Icon Award. Music plays such an important role in how stories are told on screen and I have always believed in the power of music to deepen emotion and connect people to the story. To be recognized by a community that celebrates the important relationship between music and cinematic story telling means a lot to me.”

Lindsay Wolfington, president of the Guild of Music Supervisors, said of Saadiq: “We are very excited to honor someone whose reach has touched so many parts of the music and media industries; Raphael Saadiq’s contributions as an artist, songwriter, producer and composer for visual media truly define what we celebrate with the GMS Icon Award.”

The recipient of the Guild of Music Supervisors’ Legacy Award this year is the late Robin Kaye, former VP of the Guild and a highly respected figure in the music supervision community. The Legacy Award is presented to a music supervisor who has made a lasting impact on the industry over the course of their career.
