    Raná Martin
    LOS ANGELES --

PARALLAX, the editorial house behind Academy Award-winning Everything Everywhere All At Once and Beyoncé’s “Lemonade,” has named Raná Martin as managing director/executive producer. Martin will oversee operations across PARALLAX’s New York and Los Angeles offices, bringing more than two decades of commercial postproduction leadership and talent development experience to the role.

Over the course of her career, Martin has played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectories of some of the industry’s most respected editors and editorial companies. At PARALLAX, Martin will help strengthen the company’s artist-driven culture while deepening relationships with agencies, directors, and brands worldwide. She joins executive producer Rebecca Rose Perkins and will work closely with PARALLAX co-founders Luke Lynch and Graham Zeller, alongside partners Paul Rogers and Kahlil Joseph.

“PARALLAX approaches collaboration in an exceptional way. It is unlike anything I’ve experienced in our industry,” remarked Martin. “The work comes first, and it is deeply inspiring to be part of a company and culture so committed to the craft and in service to this philosophy. I’ve found my ideal match: a heart-centered community where I can champion our editors at every level and across every arena, inspiring their best work in service of both our clients and the ongoing evolution of filmmaking itself. Bringing this level of talent to the commercial world is an extreme honor, and it’s incredibly rewarding to witness this kind of genuine creative alchemy unfold on every project.”

Martin began her career at Lost Planet Editorial before holding executive leadership roles at Final Cut NY, Cut+Run NY, Rock Paper Scissors LA (now MakeMake), PS260 Boston and LA, and most recently, The Den Editorial. Throughout her career, she has worked with brands including Apple, Amazon, Google, HBO, Meta, Netflix, Nike, Samsung, and Toyota, as well as music videos for artists ranging from Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar to David Bowie and Prince. Martin’s work has been recognized by the Emmys, Grammys, VMAs, Cannes Lions, AICP, Clio Awards, The One Show, and D&AD.

PARALLAX partner Rogers, the Academy Award-winning editor for Everything Everywhere All At Once, added, “Raná embodies the qualities that define PARALLAX: excellence, consistency, composure under pressure, forward-thinking leadership, and a deep passion for editing as an art form. As we continue expanding our unique editorial approach into the advertising space, Raná is the ideal person to help lead that evolution. Her experience, instincts, and genuine passion for the craft make her an invaluable addition as we bring our vision to a broader audience.”

Martin’s hire marks a key step in PARALLAX’s continued commercial growth, building on recent momentum that includes Google’s 2026 Olympics campaign and Verizon’s “Look Behind You,” starring Connor Storie. The PARALLAX roster includes Claudius Ansah, Grason Caldwell, Georgia Dodson, Robin Feldman, Ernie Gilbert, Matt Hannam, Jennifer Lame, Luke Lynch, Stacy Moon, Rogers, Stefani Saintonge, and Zoe Schack. They are represented by Miss Smith on the East Coast and by Get Reehl Get Davis on the West Coast and in the Midwest.

Apple unveils AI advances at its annual conference

    Monday, June 8, 2026

Apple on Monday unveiled new artificial intelligence advances including upgrades to its Siri assistant, emphasizing a focus on privacy and day-to-day use as the iPhone maker tries to catch up to rivals when it comes to AI.

Siri AI, which was introduced at the start of Apple's annual World Wide Developers Conference, has been highly anticipated by users and developers. While Siri was launched in 2011, it fell behind other voice assistants and was derided even by Apple fans.

It is the last WWDC featuring CEO Tim Cook before he turns his post over to John Ternus in September. Cook received an extended standing ovation and told the audience he is "deeply grateful to have been on this journey with you" and said "the energy around Apple platforms has never been stronger."

The conference, which drew developers from some 65 countries to Apple's Silicon Valley headquarters, focuses on software, in contrast to the fall unveiling of the latest iPhones.

Apple steps up its AI game
Apple has sought to distinguish itself from its peers by stressing a privacy-centered approach and integrating AI across its devices and apps. There was no mention of AI superintelligence or companion chatbots. Rather, Apple sought to demonstrate how its AI tools can make life easier.

Apple software chief Craig Federighi took some swipes at AI companies — without naming them — that seem to be "pursuing AI for the sake of AI" without clear regard for the people it is supposed to serve. At Apple, he said, "we believe that truly helpful AI should be centered around you and your needs," which means integrating AI into the products people use every day, with a focus on privacy.

The conference unveiled updates to Apple Intelligence, which... Read More
