Steve Scutellaro, who served as managing director at Deep Focus for the past five years, has been appointed general manager of StrawberryFrog. He will join co-chief creative officer Nick Sonderup who works with co-CCO Tyler DeAngelo.
Scutellaro met and worked closely with Sonderup at Pereira O’Dell on Mini Cooper, Timberland, FOX Sports and several other brands.
This is the first time StrawberryFrog, which celebrates its 25 year anniversary in 2024, has appointed a general manager.
Scutellaro started his career at Rosetta (later acquired by RazorFish), learning the ins and outs of digital, CRM and data. He then moved to Crispin Porter + Bogusky where he led a slew of integrated campaigns for Best Buy, including multiple Super Bowl commercials. Next, at Deutsch LA, he led brands like PlayStation, Taco Bell, Target and others. He then moved back to the East Coast with Pereira O’Dell’s office in New York, helping it grow over the course of five years.
Since then, he has been running Deep Focus, where he led the agency through an acquisition and consistent growth, reinforcing its social media offering and building a team focused on innovative integrated marketing strategy and communications. During those five years, he oversaw work for brands like HBO, Aruba Tourism, Jägermeister, Bravo Network, and AvisBudget Group.
Also comprising the revamped leadership team at StrawberryFrog will be Nicola Coneally who has been promoted to VP Operations and HR.
Scott Goodson, founder and CEO, said: “Steve has the perfect skill set for StrawberryFrog having led top creative agencies and clients, he joins us at a time when we are strengthening our reputation as “a leader in breakthrough creativity and integrated Movement Marketing”. StrawberryFrog works with brands such as Pandora, Truist, Walmart, Crowe Consulting, and Northwell Health. It recently won the Andriani Italian food account.
