Modern Post adds editor Troy Charbonnet
Editor Troy Charbonnet has joined postproduction studio Modern Post. His diverse body of work spans advertising, music, and culture-driven narratives, including collaborations with Apple, Spotify, Mercedes-Benz, Adidas, and Nike. Charbonnet also edits for top musical artists, most notably crafting the visual cut for Silk Sonic’s (the superduo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) “Leave the Door Open,” which earned the MTV VMA for Best Editing.
“We’ve been following Troy’s work for a while; he has consistently proven that he is able to tap into his creative approach and bring a unique perspective and understanding to each project. As soon as we connected, it was clear that he would be a perfect fit for our growing roster,” s aid Modern Post executive producer Andrew Illson.
Charbonnet has infused his balance of bold stylistic instinct and invisible, story-first precision to projects such as Harry Styles’ “Love On Tour, Forever,” a concert-driven love letter to fans. Additional work includes projects for Sabrina Carpenter, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Tems, and Tate McRae, each shaped by Charbonnet’s instinct for emotional progression and rhythmic detail.
Originally from Irvine, Calif., Charbonnet began experimenting with stop-motion videos, short films, and homemade music videos at a young age, shaping an early understanding of movement, pacing, and performance. He received his BFA in film production from Chapman University and has been editing professionally since 2017, building a multidisciplinary body of work rooted in both experimentation and restraint.
“Modern Post stood out to me because of its roster of editors, people whose work has inspired me for some time. There’s a real sense of innovation, experimentation, and... Read More
