The Den has added editor Katarína Gramatová to its talent roster. Gramatová’s work spans commercial campaigns for brands including Barclay’s, Sprite, Oppo, Xiaomi, Lego, and Samsung. Her seamless blend of striking visuals and intuitive pacing has earned accolades such as a Ciclope Festival nomination for Stromae’s “Santé” and a Vimeo Staff Pick for Elderbrook’s “Why Do We Shake In The Cold?”
Gramatová’s body of work ranges from deadpan comedy with precisely timed cuts to emotionally resonant, visually rich narratives. A true collaborator, she thrives in creative partnership with directors and teams, often editing on set to help shape the story in real-time. Her involvement begins well before postproduction, contributing at the script stage to help craft narrative structure and rhythm–ensuring the editorial voice supports the director’s vision from the very beginning.
Frequent collaborator and ProdCo director Jara Moravec said, “What makes Katarina stand out from other editors is her instinct. She slices through the bullshit–whether it’s a phony performance or poor timing–with precision. It’s not often you find an editor who’s also a full-fledged director, having shot an acclaimed feature film before turning 30.”
Her passion for filmmaking started early, directing homemade projects as a child and later helming commercials and long-form content. Gramatová is also an accomplished director with a feature film debuting later this year and was named one of the Top 10 Emerging European Directors by the European Film Promotion’s Future Frames program.
“I’m beyond excited to join The Den,” remarked Gramatová. “I admire all of my roster-mates, and I’m thrilled to be part of an editing house that has dedicated itself to creating the best stories possible with thoughtful storytelling. Everyone I’ve met at The Den has been wonderful, and I look forward to starting this next chapter of my career with them.”
Rachel Seitel, co-founder of The Den Editorial, added, “Katarína has a remarkable talent for making every creative partnership feel seamless. She approaches her collaborations with thoughtfulness, actively listening, interpreting, and enhancing the director’s vision with clarity and care.”
