LMGI Board members (l-r) Andrea Keener, Mo Qazzaz, and Kay Pointing Wilson
    HOLLYWOOD, Calif. --

The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) has elected three new members to its 2025 Board of Directors: Andrea Keener (Georgia, United States), Mo Qazzaz (Alberta, Canada), and Kay Pointing Wilson (Greater London, United Kingdom).

Keener, Qazzaz, and Pointing Wilson bring a wealth of experience and expertise–including in domestic and international television and feature films–to the LMGI Board of Directors. Keener’s resume includes work on major film such as “Ant Man,” “Captain America,” and “Killers of the Flower Moon,” as well as TV productions including “Cold Case” and “Scandal.” Qazzaz is a two-time LMGI Award winner with “Fargo,” and “The Last of Us.” Pointing Wilson’s credits include “Venom: The Last Dance,” and “Father Brown,” and she is an active member of BECTU (Broadcasting Entertainment Communications and Theatre Union) and the Television Access Project Production Spaces.

Keener, Qazzaz, and Pointing Wilson will serve alongside re-elected board members Danny Finn (California), Angus Ledgerwood (New York), Robin Macdonald (British Columbia, Canada), Edward Mazurek (California), and Scott Trimble (California).

The 2025 Officers of the Executive Committee were also confirmed at the March 16th Board of Directors meeting. They are president John Rakich, 1st VP Angus Ledgerwood, 2nd VP Danny Finn, treasurer Edward Mazurek, and secretary Lisa Scope.

Returning for a fourth term, Rakich stated: “I am once again thankful to the LMGI membership for their continued support and honored the board of directors have trusted me to continue to lead the LMGI for a fourth term. I thank our outgoing Board members for their dedication and welcome the newly elected members. I look forward to working together to keep advancing the LMGI.”

Said Election Committee chair Mazurek: “With eight open board seats and 18 excellent candidates, the 2025 election results once again tallied the most votes and the most candidates in LMGI history. This is a testament to our nominees’ professionalism and superb reputations, as well as the engagement of our membership. Congratulations to our elected 2025 Board members.”

Outgoing from the board are longtime directors Jimmy Ayoub (NY), Mac Gordon (GA), and Alison Taylor (CA).

VP Finn stated, “Alison A. Taylor has been a vital part of this organization for eight years, serving on the Executive Committee, as well as many other leadership roles and committees. An icon in our craft of location management, she has profoundly impacted the LMGI and its members. Alison’s presence on the board will be greatly missed. The LMGI also thanks Ayoub, our longest-serving board member, for his years of leadership and NY region development. We also thank Gordon for his work on the Membership and Education Committees, and for spearheading skill-building events in Atlanta. Their impact will be felt for years to come.”

The Location Managers Guild International is a global organization that represents location professionals in the film, television, and commercial industries. Founded in 2003, the LMGI has been dedicated to advancing the craft of location scouting and management, as well as providing networking and educational opportunities for its members. Under the LMGI’s leadership and with the addition of Keener, Qazzaz, and Pointing Wilson, the LMGI is poised to continue its mission of supporting and elevating the work of location professionals.

The LMGI Awards, set for Saturday, August 23, 2025, spotlight and honor the vital role of filming locations in setting tone, revealing character and enhancing the storytelling narrative. Additionally, the LMGI Awards honor film commissions who have gone above and beyond during the scouting, pre-production and production of specific projects. Submissions are currently open at www.locationmanagers.org and will close on May 5.

Raná Martin joins PARALLAX as managing director/exec producer

    Wednesday, June 3, 2026

PARALLAX, the editorial house behind Academy Award-winning Everything Everywhere All At Once and Beyoncé’s "Lemonade," has named Raná Martin as managing director/executive producer. Martin will oversee operations across PARALLAX’s New York and Los Angeles offices, bringing more than two decades of commercial postproduction leadership and talent development experience to the role.

Over the course of her career, Martin has played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectories of some of the industry’s most respected editors and editorial companies. At PARALLAX, Martin will help strengthen the company’s artist-driven culture while deepening relationships with agencies, directors, and brands worldwide. She joins executive producer Rebecca Rose Perkins and will work closely with PARALLAX co-founders Luke Lynch and Graham Zeller, alongside partners Paul Rogers and Kahlil Joseph.

“PARALLAX approaches collaboration in an exceptional way. It is unlike anything I’ve experienced in our industry,” remarked Martin. “The work comes first, and it is deeply inspiring to be part of a company and culture so committed to the craft and in service to this philosophy. I’ve found my ideal match: a heart-centered community where I can champion our editors at every level and across every arena, inspiring their best work in service of both our clients and the ongoing evolution of filmmaking itself. Bringing this level of talent to the commercial world is an extreme honor, and it’s incredibly rewarding to witness this kind of genuine creative alchemy unfold on every project.”

Martin began her career at Lost Planet Editorial before holding executive leadership roles at Final Cut NY, Cut+Run NY, Rock Paper Scissors LA (now MakeMake), PS260... Read More
