Alex Snookes Joins JAMM
VFX supervisor and compositor Alex Snookes is joining JAMM’s Los Angeles studio from London, where he worked in established studios, ETC, The Mill, and MPC.
Snookes’ body of work includes campaigns for brands including Instacart, Apple, Axe, as well as the innovative music video “Cash In Cash Out” by Pharrell Williams. Snookes was recently nominated for a VES award for “Outstanding VFX in a Commercial” for B&Q “Flip”.
Laychin Lee Checks Into Camp Lucky
Dallas-based creative post and production studio Camp Lucky has added Flame artist Laychin Lee to its roster. Laychin has contributed CG, VFX and finishing talent to projects for clients such as Frito Lay, RAM, Home Depot, Acura and Katy Perry’s “Fireworks” music video, to name a few.
Lee grew up in Malaysia, where she created animation and dreamed of moving to the U.S. to work on feature films. She first landed in Houston, Texas, where she began building what was to become a career as a noted Flame artist. Lee then moved to ReelFX in Dallas where she made a name for her exacting and creative eye and ability to bring a dynamic sense of realism to the screen.
Rodeo FX Ropes Igor Boros For Advertising & Experiential Division
Igor Boros, VFX veteran in the advertising field and former creative director at BBDO/Ricochet, is joining Rodeo FX at its Toronto office where he will oversee the visual effects and creative direction of its fast-expanding Advertising and Experiential division. Boros and recently appointed EP Marie-Piere Poulin will team to lead the division.
With a decade as a creative director, Boros worked on assorted projects, bringing ads to life for global clients such as PepsiCo, Mars, Bayer AG, Visa, and FedEx. He was a Flame artist on campaigns for Lululemon Team Canada and Molson Ultra (both with
Alter Ego). As a sr. Flame artist, Boros possesses a strong artistic understanding which enables him to handle complex projects from ideation to postproduction.
Rodeo FX launched a Toronto office in June 2022 which currently boasts 80 VFX artists, and is able to leverage different pipelines and mobilize resources from the entire creative company for local and international projects like recent campaigns for Nissan, Holt Renfrew, The Callisto Protocol, and Prime Video.
