    LAS VEGAS --

AdvancingDiversity.org, in partnership with MediaVillage and leaders of media, advertising and entertainment companies, will host the Advancing a Diverse Workforce Meet-Up during CES at the Las Vegas Park MGM on January 8th from 6-7:30pm.

The 3rd Advancing Diversity MeetUp offers potential job candidates from a wide range of backgrounds the opportunity to speak with leaders from over 25 companies including Active International, AMC Networks, Ampersand, Ascential, Creative Artists Agency, Crown Media Family Networks, Empower, Facebook, Fox, Google, Havas Media, Intel, Lifetime, MediaVillage, NBCU, Publicis Media, Sundance Institute, Teads, Twitter, Univision, Viacom, The Walt Disney Company, WarnerMedia and Xandr.

"CES offers an opportunity to introduce our business to a spectrum of diverse candidates and educate them about the many opportunities available in media, advertising, marketing and entertainment," said Jack Myers, founder of MediaVillage and AdvancingDiversity.org, who has been at the forefront of diversity, inclusion and equality activism for more than two decades. "In addition to students and recent graduates, there are tech workers, educators, veterans, health care, retail and hospitality professionals who may be surprised at the wide variety of opportunities offered and the support programs available at both the entry-level and for more senior positions."

Attendance is free with advance registration here. Applicants who attend and later accept professional positions will be eligible to earn college loan relief from the Advancing Diversity Financial Solutions Program and have access to accredited Advancing Diversity Online  learning curriculum, mentorship connections and talent development programs.

The Advancing Diversity MeetUp is held in conjunction with the 3rd Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors Induction Experience, which recognizes the industry's most successful diversity, inclusion and equality programs. 2020 Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors  inductees are The Female Quotient (Shelley Zalis), The Hershey Company (Jill Baskin), Sam's Club (Tony Rogers), Publicis Media Americas (Tim Jones), ADCOLOR (Tiffany R. Netflix delivers solid 4th quarter, but slowing subscriber growth cause for some concern

Netflix capped last year with another solid financial performance despite slowing subscriber growth that underscored the importance of its contested $72 billion bid to take over Warner Bros.' movie studio and slot HBO Max into its video streaming line-up. The fourth-quarter results announced Tuesday eclipsed the projections of stock market analysts, but Netflix's report also noted that the video service ended the year with more than 325 million worldwide subscribers, a figure indicating it has added about 23 million subscribers since 2024. The 2025 subscriber increase marked a dramatic slowdown from the 41 million picked up during 2024, amplifying investor worries that Netflix's growth has peaked since the 2022 introduction of a low-priced, advertising-supported version of its service that triggered a massive surge in subscribers. Management also forecast a profit for the January-March period that was below analysts' predictions and announced Netflix would stop buying back its own stock while trying to complete the Warner Bros' deal. Even though its ad sales are expected to double, Netflix also projected its revenue growth would taper off from 16% in 2025 to 12% to 14% this year. "Overall, this points to a challenging start to the year," said Investing.com analyst Thomas Monteiro. Netflix's shares sank nearly 5% in extended trading, even though its profit and revenue for the past quarter were better than anticipated. The company earned $2.4 billion, or 56 cents per share, 29% increase from the same time in the previous year. Revenue rose 18% from the previous year to more than $12 billion. The results almost seemed like a footnote next to the stakes involved in Netflix's bidding war to buy Warner Bros. Discovery . The battle took another turn... Read More
