The CST (Commission supérieure technique de l’image et du son) has named its award winners for the 79th Festival de Cannes. The winners are recognized for the quality of their technical prowess, serving the vision of the director.
Earning the CST Award for best artist-Technician is Nicolas Rumpl, head film editor of “Notre Salut” directed by Emmanuel Marre. The judges’ statement read, “The subtle editorial choices reveal the visual aesthetic, the directorial ambition and the performances of the actors in Emmanuel Marre’s film ‘Notre Salut.’“ »
The CST Award for best Young, Female Film Technician will go to production designer Esther Mysius for “The Birthday Party directed by Léa Mysius. The judges said that Esther Mysius’ “meticulous attention to detail allows the sets to become an integral part of the narrative.
The CST Awards ceremony will take place on September 29 at Publiciscinémas.
