Jonathan Byrne has come aboard DDB California as creative director. In his new role, Byrne will oversee the ongoing diversification and integration of new skill sets into the creative department.
Byrne joins DDB from Venables Bell & Partners, where he spent a decade serving first as a creative and then as a creative director. During this time, he helped bring Audi to life in the U.S. as well as led new business efforts for 76 and Reebok. Before moving to the West Coast, he was with several agencies in the Rockies, including TDA_Boulder and McClain Finlon.
With over 14 years of experience, Byrne has created award-winning work for Audi, Orville Redenbacher’s, Slim Jim, Coca-Cola brands, and most recently the worldwide Reebok account. He has won numerous creative and effectiveness awards from national and international shows, including The One Show, the Effies, Communication Arts, the ADDYs, The Obies and others.
