ADCE 2025 Jury presidents and judges announced
    BARCELONA, Spain --

The Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) has revealed the jury lineup for the 34th edition of the European Creativity Awards.

This year’s jury brings together over 50 leading creatives from 23 European countries, including Hungary, which joins as a new ADCE network member in 2025. The jurors will evaluate the most outstanding work from across Europe through a rigorous process, beginning with online sessions and culminating in live deliberations in Barcelona on November 18-19.

At the helm of the jury is Alex Schill, Global CCO at Serviceplan Group (Germany) and ADCE president, who will serve as Overall Jury president.

He will be joined by six highly respected Jury presidents, each overseeing their category. Five of them have been named. They are:

–Film & Audio: Max Brady, founder & executive producer, Bodacious Ltd (Ireland)
–Print & Outdoor: Manuel Wenzel, chief creative officer, TBWA (Switzerland)
–Interactive & Mobile: Juraj Kováč, creative & strategic director, This is Locco (Slovakia)
–Design: Steph Wurm, art director, Brandbuch and wurm aneiros (Spain)
–Brand Experience: Kosta Schneider, chief creative officer, Publicis Groupe CZ & UA (Ukraine)

The jury president for Integrated & Innovation will be announced shortly. The full jury can be viewed here.

The juries will award Gold, Silver, and Bronze distinctions in each category, along with the coveted Grand Prix. They will also select the ADCE Special Awards: the European Star–Johannes Newrkla, the Genius Loci, the Green Star, and the Equal Star.

    Call for Entries
Entries can be submitted until September 26, 2025. Projects eligible for submission are those that have already been awarded at a European national competition.

Final Round of Jury opens doors for the first time
For the first time in ADCE history, the third round of judging, where the Grand Prix and Special Awards are decided, will be open to the public. This unique session will give attendees the opportunity to witness Europe’s top creative leaders debate and defend their choices, offering an unprecedented look into the decision-making process behind the continent’s most celebrated creative accolades.

ADCE Creative Week 2025: A New Format
This year also marks the debut of the ADCE Creative Week (November 19-21 at DHub Barcelona), an expanded, future-facing program that marks a bold evolution of the ADCE Festival.

    The event includes:

Public Jury Sessions – Watch the final round of ADCE Awards judging live.
Portfolio Review – Direct access to top European creatives for students and emerging talent
ADCE Student Awards Gala – Celebrating emerging talent
AI Creative Summit – Exploring the opportunities and challenges of AI in creativity.
AI Creative Challenge – A fast-paced, unconventional competition where creatives tackle briefs using only AI.
ADCE Awards Gala & Party – A celebration of the best creative work in Europe.

Global Visibility through The One Club for Creativity
Participation in the ADCE Awards now extends beyond Europe, thanks to the partnership with The One Club for Creativity. Winners will be included in The One Club’s Global Creative Rankings, the industry’s leading benchmark that combines results from The One Show, ADC Annual Awards, ONE Asia Creative Awards, US chapter awards, Type Directors Club competitions, and the ADCE Awards.

This integration guarantees that ADCE winners receive global recognition, enhancing not only their individual prestige but also the rankings of their agencies, networks, and holding companies worldwide.

For European winners, it represents the season’s final opportunity to climb the charts. Whether already in the Top 5, defending their position, or striving to break into the Top 10, the ADCE Awards can be the decisive factor.

Actor Timothy Busfield released from New Mexico jail pending trial

Actor Timothy Busfield was released from jail Tuesday night in New Mexico, where he is facing counts of child sexual abuse. Hours earlier, Busfield's attorneys successfully argued that the actor best known for appearances in "The West Wing," "Field of Dreams" and "Thirtysomething" wasn't a danger to the community and shouldn't be behind bars while he awaits trial. Prosecutors sought to keep him in jail, outlining what they said was grooming behavior and abuse of power by Busfield over three decades. State District Court Judge David Murphy said while the crimes Busfield is accused of inherently are dangerous and involve children, prosecutors didn't prove the public wouldn't be safe if he's released. "There's no evidence of a pattern of criminal conduct, there are no similar allegations involving children in his past," Murphy said. "Rather this defendant self-surrendered and submitted himself to this court's jurisdiction, demonstrating compliance with the court order for his arrest." Outside the courthouse, Busfield's wife, actor Melissa Gilbert, thanked Murphy for the ruling. She also thanked friends, relatives, co-workers and strangers who she said have showered their family with love. Gilbert, who played Laura Ingalls in the 1970s to '80s TV series "Little House on the Prairie," sat behind Busfield during the hearing. He was handcuffed and dressed in an orange jail jumpsuit. Prosecutors declined to comment on the ruling. Busfield is facing two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse while working as a director on the set of the TV series "The Cleaning Lady," allegations that he denies. He was booked into jail after a warrant was issued for his arrest and he turned himself in. According to the criminal complaint,... Read More
