    Producers Guild Unveils Award Winners In 3 Categories Along With Innovation Honor Recipient

    "Defying Gravity: the Untold Story of Women's Gymnastics" (Season 1) won the PGA Award for Outstanding Sports Program

    The Producers Guild of America bestowed PGA Awards for Outstanding Short-Form, Children’s and Sports Programs on Saturday (3/20) along with revealing the winner of the PGA Innovation Award.

    Defying Gravity: The Untold Story of Women’s Gymnastics (Season 1) topped the Sports Program category while the Children’s Program honor went to The Power of We: A Sesame Street Special. Earning distinction as Outstanding Short-Form Program was Carpool Karaoke: The Series (Season 3). And the Innovation Award was given to BRCvr.

    Now in its second year, the PGA Innovation Award recognizes the production of a noteworthy, impactful new media program that significantly elevates the audience’s viewing experience.

    These four Producers Guild winners kicked off the 32nd Annual PGA Awards which will roll out a virtual ceremony on Wednesday (3/24) to honor others in the competition judged as best across feature film and television categories.

    The Saturday announcement of the PGA Award winners in Short-Form, Children’s and Sports Programs as well as the recipient of the Innovation Award took place as part of a Guild event highlighted by three moderated conversations with nominees, respectively, for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, Documentary Motion Pictures, and Non-Fiction Television.
     
    In between the roundtable discussions, 2021 PGA Awards event chairs Julius Tennon and Chris Thomes presented the special category Guild honors as well as the Innovation kudo.

    Here’s a rundown of today’s winners: 

    Award for Outstanding Sports Program

    Award for Outstanding Children’s Program
    The Power of We: A Sesame Street Special

    Sanjeev Gosain named chief operating officer at GALE

    GALE has appointed Sanjeev Gosain as its new chief operating officer. This news comes alongside the promotion of 109 employees across GALE’s global offices, representing nearly 15% of its workforce worldwide.

    A strong start to the year propelled these appointments, thanks to a slew of new business wins. GALE’s scope with multiple clients, such as Brinker International’s Chili’s and Diageo, has expanded to fuel this growth as well.

    In his new role, Gosain will work closely with the agency’s leadership team to further optimize both internal and client operations, ensuring the continued delivery of industry-leading services while maximizing business growth. With over 20 years of experience, he brings deep expertise in management, delivery, and operations, having played a pivotal role in these functions at GALE since the agency’s founding. Before joining GALE as a founding member, Gosain held technology and delivery positions at companies including TravelEdge and SapientNitro.
