WHITE64 hires Michael Wilson as executive creative director

    Michael Wilson
    TYSONS, Va. --

Michael Wilson has joined independent agency WHITE64 as executive creative director.

Wilson will focus on raising the level of creative execution, building scalable production systems, and ensuring the agency’s work holds up across channels, platforms, and volume as WHITE64 continues to grow. Wilson will report to chief creative officer Mick Sutter, who joined the agency in 2024 as part of the newly formed executive leadership team at the shop. In 2025, WHITE64 saw a 30% increase in revenue and a record growth year in its history as an agency.

Wilson brings more than 15 years of experience spanning world-class creative agencies and high-growth in-house teams. His background includes senior creative roles at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, 72andSunny, TBWA\Chiat\Day, and David & Goliath, as well as leadership positions on the brand side, most recently as executive creative director at retail mortgage lender Rate.com.

At Rate, Wilson built and led a high-output creative organization, growing social content production from zero to 30–50 pieces per month in just weeks. He oversaw brand expression across a broad ecosystem of companies, channels, and audiences, with a focus on speed, consistency, and quality at scale.

“Mike is one of those rare creatives who is equally obsessed with ideas, making them real, and scaling them efficiently and flawlessly” said Sutter. “As we continue to build out our leadership team, his taste, range, and hands-on approach make him a natural fit for where the agency is headed.”

Earlier in his career, Wilson led work for brands including Google, PayPal, Gatorade, Disney, Kia, and Infiniti, earning a reputation for smart, idea-led work shaped by world-class creative environments.

“What drew me to WHITE64 is the ambition,” said Wilson. “There’s a clear point of view here, and a real desire to do work that matters. I’m excited to help raise the bar on how that work shows up in the world, and to build the systems that make it sustainable as the agency grows.”

Wilson holds a Master’s degree in mass communication from VCU’s Brandcenter, where he focused on art direction, and a Bachelor’s degree in advertising from Penn State.
