BBDO Atlanta and Baseball For All are launching the “Throw It Forward” campaign, premiering its centerpiece spot “Prove Them Wrong” during the World Series tonight (10/24). The :30 was directed by Aaron Putnam via production house Working Title Partners.
Baseball For All, the national non-profit founded by Justine Siegal, PhD., has been breaking barriers for girls in baseball since 2010 and BBDO Atlanta first worked with them in 2016, when they debuted a World Series spot encouraging coaches to put more girls in the game.
Since then, the movement has gained momentum–including the upcoming launch of the Women’s Professional Baseball League (WPBL), which will kick off its inaugural season in summer 2026.
“Our girls fight every day to play the game they love. ‘Prove Them Wrong’ is an anthem for all the girls who have been told they can’t do something because they’re girls. Today we show that girls play baseball,” said Siegal.
The full “Throw It Forward” campaign will roll out in early spring, inviting both the baseball community and the public to send messages of encouragement to keep more girls in the game–culminating in a traveling activation featuring signed baseballs. The campaign comes at a critical time: women’s sports receive only 4% of sports media coverage and girls drop out of organized sports at double the rate of boys by age 14.
Timed with the World Series, the campaign aims to leverage baseball’s biggest stage to inspire change and drive visibility for the next generation of female athletes.
“We are thrilled to continue to work with Baseball for All,” says Robin Fitzgerald, chief creative officer of BBDO Atlanta, “and to help more girls see a path forward playing the game they love.”
