Samuel Adams is all-in on Super Bowl 2021, leveraging the moment to introduce a new line of beer, Wicked, to drinkers everywhere.
For Sam Adams to play in the Big Game marketing space for the first time in brand history at this scale, they’re horsing around with a certain big beer conglomerate in this spot–”Your Cousin From Boston Frees the Clydesdales”–directed by Matt Aselton of Arts & Sciences for agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
The spot, which will run in the Boston and New York markets during the Big Game, opens with a pitch-perfect misdirect of a typical Clydesdale commercial–orchestral score, antique carriage, and majestic draft horses. An unseen figure pulls the pin from the carriage hitch, sending a team of galloping Clydesdales stampeding through a quaint New England town. “Whoops,” says Your Cousin From Boston.
The commercial–which stars real life Massachusetts townies-turned-actors Greg Hoyt and Owen Burke–is authentic Boston from its backwards cap to its work boots.

Burger King France and KFC France late last month launched a landmark collaboration, a world-exclusive, with the joint creation of an all-new burger available only in France: the BFF burger (Best Friends Forever). There are a flame-grilled meat version available exclusively at Burger King and a crispy chicken version exclusively at KFC.
The two brands decided to set aside their rivalry to jointly launch the โBFF burgerโ in all their restaurants across France (555 for BK, 379 for KFC), available through December 16. This original and exclusive burger features a shared recipe but one major difference: it comes with flame-grilled meat exclusively at Burger King France and crispy chicken exclusively at KFC France.
Directed by Rick Darge via production company HENRY, this TV spot features Warโs classic track โWhy Canโt We Be Friends?โ as employees from Burger King and KFC are seen singing arm in arm, united in harmony.
The campaign was imagined and orchestrated by Buzzman, in collaboration with Havas Paris for social media, and media placement handled by Wavemaker and Havas Media.
